T
hirty years is a long time. It has been an
exciting journey filled with highs and lows, but
mostly highs; experiences that have made us
the world class company we are today.
I cannot say the whole thing was planned,
it just sort of happened. At the same time,
I cannot say it was an accident. It is a journey
that has been guided by my own personal
faith and dogged commitment to deliver the
very best for you and your horse.
Into the future, we hope to keep delivering
more of the same, except for better. Now it is
not just me, today there are five hundred of
us all over the world, working hard to deliver
world changing products that will exceed your
expectations.
We started by transforming how horse blankets
look and perform, and that is what we are
famous for. Today, we are also transforming
the training, maintenance and care of your
horse with our new products, Ice Vibe and the
Rambo Micklem Bridle range.

HOW TO FIT YOUR HORSEWARE BLANKET
The fit of your blanket is extremely important to ensure the comfort of your horse and to prevent rubbing
and blanket slippage. As horses of the same height at the wither come in variety of shapes and sizes, it is
useful to take certain measurements of your horse.
Using a soft measuring tape, measure from (A) at the center point of the chest, across the point of the
shoulder and to the point (B) at the center of the tail. When you have the measurement, remove 10cm
(4inches) and choose your horse’s size from the table below.
Bear in mind that every horse is different and that this table is a guide only.
We have many different styles to suit all shapes and sizes.

Horseware blankets come in a variety of weights. To make it
easy, we’ve created this little temperature scale. It explains
the weight available for each blanket and is located under
each product section.
A turnout blanket acts as a waterproof insulator layer, helping
to maintain condition in cold weather. However be aware
that conditions may vary in a short time span. Always ensure
your horse is comfortable at all times.
OUR BRILLIANCE IN DESIGN:
DECODED
At Horseware® we pride ourselves on innovation not imitation and patent protection is extremely
important to us. It’s these little differences that make our blankets the best on the market.
OPTIMO SPLIT TECHNOLOGY - The Optimo Split is behind the withers, at the 6th vertebrae
of the horse’s spine. It allows the horse to move in an exuberant manner: the front of the blanket will
move, turn and extend to follow his movement, and the back of the blanket will stay firmly in position
without pulling forward or slipping. This allows maximum freedom of movement, with maximum
coverage provided by the blanket at all times.
SPLIT
TECHNOLOGY®
VARI-LAYER – In a standard blanket 80% of heat loss happens across the back and hips of the
horse. Vari-Layer incorporates compression resistant thermobonded fiberfill to target these major areas
of heat loss. By layering in these areas, the blanket is lighter but more thermally efficient. In blankets
with Vari-Layer the fiberfill is staggered: 450g fill covers the back and hip areas of the blanket, 300g
covers the sides of the body and 150g on the bottom section of the blanket.
PATENTED V-FRONT CLOSURE – The Horseware patented V-Front closure wraps around
the point of the shoulder, keeping the blanket light across the chest and relieving pressure on the
shoulders. The deep V of the neck allows your horse to graze and move more freely. Clips are specially
engineered and are very strong and non-swivel for extra security, with a hook & loop fastening behind
them, so that the front of the blanket doesn’t gape.
V-FRONT CLOSURE®
LEG ARCHES – Front and back leg arches allow the blanket to fold like an envelope around your
horse’s belly, to protect the underside and allow increased freedom of movement without affecting
the front or back of the blanket.

nylon, which is the strongest and most durable turnout material on the market. The lining is anti-static and
anti-bacterial with compression resistant thermobonded fiberfill inside, for superior insulation.

V-Front closure system, leg arches and 3rd surcingle, Aquatrans® Hydrophillic coating, large tail flap,

RHINO® – The only turnout to feature our unique barrier technology system, Horseware® Rhinos are
made from a 1000D polypropylene outer which protects the waterproof and breathable barrier layer
underneath. Polypropylene is a stronger alternative to polyester, which is the most widely used turnout
material. Rhino® turnouts also have shine enhancing polyester lining with thermobonded fiberfill for
longer lasting heat retention.
BARRIER TECHNOLOGY
All Rhino® Turnouts have the following unique features as standard: front leg arches, Aquatrans®
Hydrophillic coating and barrier technology.
AMIGO® BRAVO – Horseware® Amigo® Bravo turnouts are made from a strong waterproof and
breathable 1200D polyester outer. Polyester is the most widely used turnout material on the market.
