The DB5 is probably the most famous Aston Martin ever produced thanks to its role in several James Bond films, beginning with
Goldfinger in 1964. The car used in that film was the original DB5 prototype, with another standard car taking over for the stunts.
Regarded by many as the most beautiful Aston Martin produced, the DB5 shares many similar traits to the DB4. However, DB5’s

D9009 Alycidon on a northbound charter on the S&C just north of Kirkby Stephen on 28 December 2013. The fleet of 22 Deltics,
numbered from D9000 to D9021, entered traffic during 1961-62 on the East Coast Main Line, replacing the 55 steam locos which
had previously operated on the route. The Deltics were the most powerful diesel locomotives on British Railways, and were

The world’s last airworthy Vulcan, B2 XH558 made its first flight in more than 14 years on 18 October 2007. Having been retired
from RAF service on 23 March 1993, it resided at Bruntingthorpe, in Leicestershire, throughout this time until it was acquired
by the Vulcan to the Sky Trust in the late 1990s. The bomber was one of six Vulcans converted into stopgap K2 tankers

With the Sunbeam and Ford you have early 1960s affluence in two quite different yet contemporary forms – these gave
drivers a new experience after the austerity of the ‘50s. The Ford Consul Capri had obvious influences of Americana, and the
experience of feeling like a movie star whilst driving it overcame the somewhat interesting handling! On the other hand the

They both sit alongside the Princess Margaret – one of six Saunders Roe Nautical 4s built between 1967 and 1977. It was the

This Scammell Highwayman was built in 1965 at the works in Watford as a Gardner engined tractor unit and was originally
paired with a tanker trailer and used by Arrow Bulk Carriers Ltd. It was later bought by a showman who converted the lorry
for use as a mobile workshop until it fell out of use and was abandoned in a garden in Boston, Lincolnshire. The Scammell

The last seagoing passenger carrying paddle steamer in the world, PS Waverley was built in 1946 by A&J Inglis of Glasgow and
launched on 2 October 1946. Waverley was withdrawn from service in 1973 as she was too costly to operate and needed significant
restoration. After a successful public appeal, she was renovated and refitted, and then began operating a cruise ship operation
‘Waverley Excursions’, each year making extensive sailings around the British coast. In all three incidents that Waverley was

The XJ series ushered Jaguar into a new age with these elegant, sophisticated saloons and marked a new era of stability,
comfort and driving relaxation. Even Sir William Lyons, the CEO of Jaguar Cars for 50 years, admitted that the XJs were his
proudest achievement. Costing between £2,333 and £3,700 new, their levels of smoothness and refinement outclassed the

2015. The ‘Princess Coronation’ class were the most powerful LMS express passenger locomotives built, and hauled heavy

The Routemaster has in recent years become the most well-known London bus and, perhaps, the most famous bus in the world.
Despite there being other London bus types of equal significance, the Routemaster achieved its fame, firstly, because it was the
very last of a long line of buses specially designed for service in the capital (until the New Routemaster was introduced in 2012)
