FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Mike Knight - Event Chairman Native Rhythms Festival 2011 321-271-0063 3rd Annual NATIVE RHYTHMS FESTIVAL – November 11 - 13, 2011 - Wickham Park, Melbourne, FL In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, the Native Heritage Gathering, Inc. will be hosting a Native American music, arts and crafts festival at the Wickham Park amphitheater the weekend of November 11 - 13, 2011. This event celebrates the culture and heritage of the indigenous peoples of North America through the appreciation of the music of the Native American style flute, drums, native style and environmental arts and crafts. The festival will also be hosting a free educational workshop series that focuses on flute playing, history, didgeridoos, drumming and much more. Admission to the festival is FREE. Musical performances are scheduled throughout each day, with headliner performances starting in the late afternoon through 10pm. Multiple award-winning musicians from all over the United States will be performing throughout the weekend, including a saturday night performance by Two-time Grammy Award winning Native American flutist and performer Robert Mirabal. Other headliner performers include Arvel Bird, Mark Holland, The Jeff Ball Band, Scott August, Dock Green Silverhawk, Jonny Lipford, Ed Wind Dancer, and Billy Whitefox.
