DANKS | BUILDING MOMENTUM 2013
WELCOME TO THE 2013 DANKS
NATIONAL TRADE SHOW & CONFERENCE
On behalf of all of us at Danks, we are delighted that you
have taken time from your business to come along and
support this event.
Two years has passed since our last get-together and
I don’t need to remind you how much our industry
has grown right before our eyes. Importantly, so has
our group.
We also have a dedicated Danks Business Support
area where our team will be on hand to discuss
group store opportunities and services with you.
Plus so much more!
With the full backing of Australia’s largest retailer
we’re on track to deliver on our 5-year Business Plan
to strengthen, grow and transform our business.
And yours.
I encourage you to visit all exhibitors and take
advantage of the many deals and opportunities on
offer at the Danks Trade Show.
Our focus remains on delivering meaningful
business benefits to help you grow and prosper
well into the future. Combined with buying and
sourcing opportunities, supply chain improvements,
marketing excellence and leading edge technology,
our total business package represents a superior
offer to all our group stores, and this will continue.
That’s why we’ve introduced the theme of ‘Building
Momentum’ to this year’s event. It captures the
energy that we’ve built as a group over the last
two years, and what better place to celebrate our
successes than in the sunshine state.
Our team have pulled out all stops to make Gold
Coast 2013 our biggest and best event to date.
We have a record number of exhibitors at the
Trade Show together with the Danks stand which
has grown once again in size to enable us to
showcase the enhanced depth and range of our
private label offering.
Our Conference program offers a chance to gain
further insights into the future direction of the
Danks and Woolworths Home Improvement
business, and the benefits being passed back to our
vibrant and growing hybrid store network.
Together with our professional speaker line up which
has been carefully selected to inspire, motivate and
most importantly, provide you with key learnings to
apply in your business, it’s a day you simply should
not miss.
And let’s not forget the show-stopping nightly
social program where you can network with fellow
retailers, suppliers and the Danks team. Plus, we
recognise the importance of our group stores
travelling together as a family and have provided a
welcoming environment and a fun packed event for
children to participate in the action too.
There’s never been a better time to be with Danks,
and this week will highlight exactly why as we
continue this exciting journey of momentum.
Mark Burrowes, Danks
