Golf
Dear Kings Point Golfers,
Happy Holidays to all from Vesta management and the entire golf staff at Kings Point. Play on both courses
is picking up nicely as we move into the winter months. Golf course superintendent Bill Jeffrey and his team
continue to provide outstanding course conditions. I am always receiving comments from golfers who feel
our conditions rival those of high-end private courses. Hats off to Bill and the entire IGM crew for their many
years of great service!
Farewell to Kings Point Golf Professional Bob Schneider…
On December 9, 2015, Kings Point head golf professional Bob Schneider, left in photo, said farewell
as he retired after 16 years of providing golf lessons to hundreds of Kings Point residents. Many of Bob’s
students became very active in golf thanks to his lessons. His presence at Kings Point will be missed.
Things to Remember:
Tee Time phone... operates seven days a week between the hours of 6:30 am and 11:00 am, take
advantage of this service for a more preferred tee time, Kings Point residents may call starting at 6:15
am. For same day play call the course, Executive 499-7840, Par 3 499-0140.
Golf Etiquette... please be considerate of fellow golfers by repairing divots, raking traps and playing
ready golf to help maintain a reasonable pace of play.
Two Minutes Only... Fishing for Golf Balls... please be mindful that a two minute time limit applies
for looking the ball you hit into the water. Fishing for balls other than the ball you are playing is prohibited.
16th Season of Free Golf Lessons Continues… instructor Rich Chiodo, provides 5 one-hour
lessons, designed to introduce the game of golf to non-golfers. Lessons will cover the basic principles
of golf, including golf etiquette, golf cart safety, golf club grip and swing techniques, unlimited use of
the practice area, free use of clubs and various other educational material. Signup is at the Par 3 pro
shop, call 499-0140 for further information.
Stay Hydrated... even though the hot summer months are
coming to an end it is still very important to drink plenty of
fluids while you are on the course, water and PowerAde
are available in vending machines and at the Snack Bar.
Please feel free to call 381-2037 if you have any
questions or suggestions for the golf courses.

Hello Everyone!
As the New Year rolls around, we have a few “housekeeping” items to remind everyone of…
Bar Codes, if you have not purchased a bar code, please do so. By purchasing the bar code, this
will help expedite entry through our gates. Secondly, please be sure you have updated your gate
access information on line at www.KingsPointDelray.com. This will allow your visitors to gain entry to
our community without issue. If you have any questions or require assistance, please contact Camille
at 561-499-3335, ext. 214.
For those of you that have not updated your Comcast account, please do so. Comcast will be on
property scheduling appointments for those residents that have not yet received their HD box. Please
see Channel 63 for the dates/times and location that a representative will be on property. Comcast
will offer free installation through February 29th, 2016. As of March 1, 2016, a service fee will be
charged by Comcast to install the HD equipment.
Be sure to pick up the Kings Point Playbill in any clubhouse or check the Kings Point website
(www.KingsPointDelray.com) for the shows schedule. There are still tickets available for a few
great shows!
As always, the Board of Directors and the Vesta Property Management staff members are here to do
their very best for our Kings Point Community. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free
to give us a call at 561-499-3335.
Wishing Everyone a Happy, Healthy 2016!

Bear Ladies steal the show on WPTV
With their December 25 appearance on WPTV, Mary Ann Seiden and Barbara Leviton officially let
the cat – or the bear – out of the bag about one of the amazing clubs at Kings Point. Now all of South
Florida knows about the Bear Ladies of Kings Point and their remarkable stuffed animals that brighten the
spirits of children in hospitals in South Florida.
Mary Ann and Barbara, along with dozens of their hand-made creations, appeared with anchor
Roxanne Stein on Channel 5’s Christmas show to talk about their work.
The club began in 2007 when Mary Ann and co-President Phyllis Weiss decided they wanted to do
something for a charity. They had heard about the Bear Ladies of Coco Woods, a nearby community, and
sought them out as mentors. “The rest is history,” says Mary Ann.
Now, the Bear Ladies deliver stuffed animals to St. Mary’s Medical Center, Palms West Hospital and the
Chris Evert Children’s Hospital at Broward Health Medical Center. The club has delivered almost 6,500
stuffed animals – and counting - to local children.
“If you can help these kids smile for just a few minutes and ease what they are going through, it warms
our hearts as much as theirs,” explains Barbara.
“A blanket can warm a child’s body, but a bear warms their heart,” said Mary Ann.
Anyone who wants to participate in the making of these delightful bears is invited to join the group. “We
have some super-producers like Barbara, and we have others who prefer to simply stuff the critters,” says
Mary Ann, “Everyone is welcome.”
Currently, the club has about 40 members, ages 55-96.
The Bear Ladies meet every Monday morning at 10:15 at
the main pool from November through April.

Etiquette
Theater Etiquette
DO’S….
• Observe the Dress Code for all events in the Theatre.
•Arrive on time, enter and be seated prior to the start of the
performance
•Stay seated during the performance. Due to strict Fire Codes,
there is “‘No Standing Room” in the theatre.
•Adjust hearing aids, listening devices and turn off cell phones
so they cannot be heard by other theatregoers.
•Use restraint in the application of perfumes, colognes and/
DON’TS….
•Do not use cameras or recording devices as copyright laws
strictly forbid them.
• Do not talk during the performance.
• Do not sing or hum along with the performers.
•Absolutely no food, drinks or candy is allowed in the theatre.
•Do not leave your seat and head for the exit until the
performance is complete, the performers have left the stage,
and the house lights have come up*
or after-shave as many of our patrons suffer from allergies.
•Keep your feet off chairs and theatre railings to prevent
unnecessary wear on them.
• Wait until the final act concludes before exiting the theatre.
(*) NOTE: This is the major complaint made by our theatre-going public. It indicates total disrespect for the performers and creates an embarrassment for
the rest of the Kings Point audience. Also, because the house lights are not up, there is a greater risk to patrons walking in the darkened theatre.
