ISO 14001 is an international standard that defines how to implement an effective
environmental management system.
To implement this rule, it is a great challenge for Sukarne®
that brings great benefits:

Sukarne® has taken the first step for attaining this certification, trained a group of
collaborators from the fields of Sustainability and Engineering process comprising:

SuKarne® Environmental Leadership
SuKarne® Michoacán plant and Monterrey plant, have received recognition for
Environmental Leadership for Competitiveness from SEMARNAT and Profepa as
companies who decide to improve their environmental performance through
eco-efficiency projects. It is a voluntary program that SuKarne® has conducted in
Culiacán and Mexicali, reaffirming the company's Sustainable commitment.
The participation of our fellow Monterrey and Michoacán in conjunction with our
value chain (suppliers), generated innovative projects that could pose environmental
annual savings by 2667.14 ton CO2. Equivalent to that of stopping 519 circulating
vehicles in a year traveling a distance of 300,000 km.

Research and Biotechnology, which
has as main functions:

to improve the productivity and
profitability of livestock activities.
· Develop and validate technological
innovation projects with a focus on
improving production processes.

centers, and national and international

· Design and develop innovative
biotechnological processes of commercial
interest to the company's business.
PILOT PLANT
Research and
Biotechnology
One of the major projects in the area of Research and
Biotechnology, is the development of a prototype of dry
biodigestion for biogas production holistically leveraging all
livestock waste. This project is in partnership with Alberta
Innovates Technology Futures, a research center in Canada.
The project received $ 4.3 million fund FINNOVA Biotechnology SE / CONACyT to validate
the technology.
The Pilot plant is a SuKarne technological development.

Fulfilling the demands of our customers not only offers a quality product and
harmless, if not always give the best, in 2012 we were audited by McDonald's
and Walmart, on the subject of Ethics and Social Responsibility of the company.

Due to the company's concern for exceeding the requirements of the authority
we obtained satisfactory results in all our production plants: Culiacán,
Mexicali, Monterrey and Michoacán.
Point of Sale Certification
SuKarne® a world-class company and
Socially Responsible, in compliance with the
requirements of the authority has undertaken
verification of its outlets as places with security
measures, equipment and staff training to
prevent damage and to timely respond in case
of contingency.
Certification is granted by state or municipal
Civil Protection within the actions of
SINAPROC / SEGOB, valid for one year, at
which time a minimum of 2 drills performed.
Currently 60 of our retailers Sukarne® have
this certification in several states. We continue
working to replicate this achievement in all
our establishments.

The SuKarne® Environmental Commitment
is to use innovative technologies across the
supply chain, to care for non-renewable natural resources through sustainable projects
that preserve natural conditions of water, soil
and air.
In 2012, the company started in the areas of
slaughter and deboning in Culiacán, Mexicali,
Monterrey and Michoacán replacing ceiling
lamps with 350 metal halide to LED lighting
technology.
Ceiling lamps were replaced with 400 watts,
while requiring only 100 LED watts shining
the same light intensity, making a weekly
savings of 17,640 kWh, which in economic
terms represent $24.212 per week, leaving
8.77 ton CO2E issue.
