Lot 49. TRANSITIONAL, Oxblood. German single-pontil
handgathered Oxblood transitional. Oxblood, swirled with white and
clear. The marble was recovered from a shipwreck and the surface
was abraded by sand and salt water, so it has an "acid" type wash
finish to it. The ground pontil is gone. Technically, this is "sea glass"
now. Germany, circa 1860-1910. 27/32". Polished (by wave

Lot 79. SWIRL, Solid Core. Extremely rare, shooter size, threelayer, Jelly Solid Core Swirl. Core is transparent blue. The outer
layer is four bands of color. Between these two layers is a middle
layer cage of white latticinio strands. The middle layer is between
the two, it doesn't rest on the core. Exceptionally rare. There are
some melt pits and some tiny damage pits on the surface. You have
to look with a loupe to see them. I'll have to grade this less than
Mint to be conservative, though it views much better. Germany,
