Battery “Memory” Effect
Nickel Metal Hydrate batteries are less prone to the “memory” effect
found in other batteries. However after prolonged time without use
or being fully charged/discharged, the “memory” effect can occur.
This problem is easily solved by fully discharging, then charging your
battery.
Simply leave your clipper or trimmer running (without a blade attached) until the battery is discharged, then fully charge the battery.
In some cases this process may need to be repeated several times.

Storing Blades
Incorrect storage of blades will cause corrosion, which in turn will
require blades to be sharpened or even replaced.
Blades should be well oiled and wrapped in grease proof paper, before
being stored in a dry place.
Unheated tack rooms are not a suitable place for blade storage.

Laube clippers use the Universal Dura-Lock system. This system is designed to lock all professional snap-on blades
more securely than any other clipper.
First time Laube clipper buyers sometimes have difficulty attaching blades to their new clipper, so this tutorial will
explain how to securely attach a blade to the Universal Dura-Lock system.
Move the hinge so it is in the upright position.
Place your blade onto hinge.
Turn the clipper on at a low speed setting. It is
important to have your clipper running when
attaching a blade, otherwise the lever could be
damaged when trying to push the blade on.
Hold clipper firmly, and with both thumbs push
down on the blade until you hear two clicks.
The first click you hear is the blade being
locked onto the hinge and latch assembly.
The second click you hear is your blade being
securely fixed into position.

LIPS (Linked Interval Positioning System) takes dog grooming restraint systems to a whole new level.
LIPS allows groomers to easily adjust where they attach grooming nooses etc. making it easy to adapt from
large dogs to small ones.
This system offers multi-point control. The LIPS System is not so much about restraining dogs as it is on optimum positioning. The more an animal is restrained, the harder it will fight. “This de-shedding tool is excellent. I have used it on my very hairy
TB x native and my TB x Selle Francais who has a much finer coat. It is
significantly better than the old fashioned loop style shedding blade
that I have used in the past. I also tried it on various other horses/
ponies at the yard and everyone was impressed. On a hairy cob with
very long guard hairs it tended to cut the longer hairs on his legs if you
were careless. You need to keep the blade at about a 90 degree angle
to avoid this - something you do automatically on the body but you are
inclined to angle it as you go down the legs. Overall this is a very good
tool. I also used it along with Kelco Wild Animal Liquid De-Shedder
Spray which further improved the easy removal of hair on horses. It
leaves the hair soft and fragrant. For a week I used the spray on one
haunch and not on the other and there was an obvious difference.
After that I used it evenly - I didn’t want her looking lopsided!“

The basics of grooming a
In the last issue of ProGroomer we demonstrated the show trim
for the American Cocker Spaniel. This time we will show how the
pet-trimmed American Cocker can and should look every bit as
smart and eyecatching as a show dog, but without the extreme high
maintenance.
I prefer a short and tidy sporting/puppy trim which shows off the
dog’s outline. If trimmed into a half full coat it can make the dog
look short on leg and a bit dumpy. Also bear in mind not to overscissor the coat as you do not want a Poodle appearance.

PAL or NTSC?
Although all our DVD’s are region free, they are available in PAL or NTSC standard.
A large number of DVD players do support both standards, though some may have difficulty displaying colour or
wont display anything at all.
NTSC is the standard used in North America and much of South America.
PAL is the standard used in Europe, Australia and much of Asia and Africa.
When ordering a DVD it is important to specify what standard you require, to ensure you get the full viewing experience from out DVD’s.

only taken when goods are ready for despatch. If you prefer to post your payment, then you can do so by Cheque, Postal

size/weight and will be by Royal Mail, or Courier. Note: Orders sent Recorded Delivery or via courier will require a signature on delivery.

Orders for Collection
We are happy to accept orders for collection by your own courier service.
Prices and VAT
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at 20%. You will receive a detailed VAT
receipt with your delivery.
On overseas orders VAT will not be charged, providing the customer has a valid tax exemption number.
All prices are correct at the time of printing, but may be subject to change without prior notification where necessary.

Goods Out of Stock
By holding large amounts of stock, we try to ensure that all of our products are in stock at all times. Occasionally, products may become out of stock. If this happens, we will let you know as soon as possible, and offer you a proposed delivery date if we can.
We will only take payment when goods are in stock and due to be despatched, unless part of the order is to follow. In
this case, all monies will be taken when the first part of the order is despatched, unless agreed with the customer beforehand.
Coloured Products
When a colour is to be specified, we will try our best to provide you with your first choice of colour. If a colour is unavailable, an alternative colour will be provided, where possible, to ensure that your order can be completed.
Unless stated that the product is of a specific colour, any colours pictured may vary from those displayed.
Returns, Damages, Shortfalls and Replacements
All goods must be inspected on delivery. Occasionally goods may be lost/damaged in transit and we will send a replacement if this occurs. In all cases we must be informed of loss/damage within 48 hours of receipt or order date, otherwise
no claim can be made or replacement sent.
In the unlikely event that there is a shortfall or error with your order, please call us as soon as possible and within 48
hours of receiving the goods.
You have the right to cancel your order within seven days of ordering, or seven days of receipt of the goods (whichever
is the longer). If you do decide to cancel you order, we will refund the full purchase price including postage providing
the goods are returned unopened/unused within 14 days of receipt. Return postage/shipping for cancelled orders will
be at your expense.
If you have ordered the incorrect goods in error, we will replace them providing they are returned unopened/unused to
us within 14 days of receipt. Please note that this will incur a return delivery charge. This does not affect your statutory
rights as a consumer.
Please ensure that all returns provide your contact details and a short note explaining the reason, even if you have discussed this with us by phone.
Warranty (other products) and Repairs
Warranty applies to goods sold against manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months and repairs for 6 months from
the time of despatch.
Any alleged defect must be notified to us as soon as possible. If the defect is found to be due to defective materials or
workmanship then repair will be free of charge. If subsequently after inspection and testing the responsibility for the
defect is established to be due to other factors, then the repair will be chargeable. Any goods returned will be at the
Customer’s risk.
Where goods are returned outside of the warranty period, or for regular servicing, the goods will be inspected and a
quote provided for the repair. Any repair (and return carriage) will charged to the Customer.
