Acquisition records from the Multimedia Art Museum,
Moscow indicate that the object was purchased in 1998 from R.
Chaloyan, renowned Moscow collector, founder of the private
Fashion museum. After closing of this museum Chaloyan sold
his collection Multimedia Art Museum. The photos were
collected from his family archives and in antique shops.

photography, graduated from the Mathematics’ Faculty of the
Moscow University; became a well-known constructor of photo
cameras and meteorological devices. In 1875 Yezuchevski
designed the first stereoscopic apparatus, and later created the
first portable photo camera for military reconnaissance, which
was awarded with a medal at the Paris World Fair. He was the
honorary member of the Imperial Technical Society.

Exhibition in Moscow, received the highest award.

Russian photographer. Worked as a teacher, as a saleswoman
in a shop. Began her career as an amateur photographer. In
1892 finished Photographic Courses of the Imperial Russian
Technical Society, later studied under the direction of Nadar in
Paris. In 1894 opened her own atelier in St. Petersburg.
Participated in many international exhibitions.

Alexander Rodchenko (1891-1956) – outstanding Russian
artist, photographer, theoretician of Soviet the avant-garde
1920s. He was one of the founders of constructivism and
Russian design; he was married to the artist Varvara
Stepanova (1894-1958). Rodchenko’s photography was
socially engaged, formally innovative, and opposed to a
painterly aesthetic. Acquisition records from the Multimedia

collection of Rodchenko’s heirs and it is provided specifically
