We have immense pleasure in presenting before you this booklet detailing the International Literary and other programmes happening at this year’s edition of New Delhi World Book Fair (9–17 January 2016). We are privileged to have China as the Guest of Honour Country, which has put up a well-designed China Pavilion spread over a space of 1200 square metres in Hall 7 A, B, & C. More than 60 cultural and publishing exchange events themed on “Renaissance of Civilizations, Understanding through Exchanges” are being organised by the Guest Country during the period at the Fair site as well as in other parts of the city. With the participation of more than 80 major Chinese publishing houses and groups, and 10 major authors, the Guest Country’s presentation at the Fair presents a powerful collage of its intellectual and creative achievements. Further, four major exhibitions, China-India Cultural Contacts Photo Exhibition, Publishing and Printing in Ancient China Exhibition, Chinese Tea Culture Exhibition, and Exhibition of Original Illustrations for Children, will provide the visitors a glimpse into the history and heritage of China.
