How to
REGISTER
Recreation Information
& Registration Form
Unless otherwise noted, registration is handled by the
personnel at the Parks & Community Services office,
14075 Frederick Street, Moreno Valley, CA 92553.
Registration fees will not be accepted at class locations by
instructors. Registration is conducted on a first-come,
first-served basis. All fees must be paid at the time
of registration. Registration fees and class days are
subject to change.
Registration
Office Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
and Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (closed holidays). For
class, program, or holiday schedule information, call
413.3280, email [email protected], or visit the
website at www.moval.org.
Registration fees for all programs and activities,
including monthly classes, are due at least four working
days PRIOR to the activity. Participants must bring a
paid receipt to the first class. Classes that fail to meet
the required minimum number of students within four
working days prior to the scheduled start date may be
canceled. Dates, times, and locations of all recreation
activities/classes, etc., are subject to change without
notice.
For your convenience, online registration is now
available
at

morenovalley. Convenience/transaction fees
will
be applied to all online transactions and cannot be
refunded. Mail-in registration must be received four
days prior to the beginning of the program. Fees may
be paid by check, cashier’s check, money order, Visa,
MasterCard, Discover, or cash.
Processing fee per transaction is $2 for residents and
$4 for non-residents. A $25 non-refundable fee will be
applied to all returned checks, even if registration is
canceled. Unless otherwise indicated, registration is
continuous.
There is no prorating of fees. Program costs are as
stated in this guide. If you sign up for a class after the
class has started, you must pay full price (unless the
class offers “drop-in” rates) or you may wait until the
following session to register.
Lessons that are missed by the participant will not be
made-up or credited. Lessons missed by the instructor
or due to scheduling conflicts by Moreno Valley Parks
& Community Services Department will be made up as
soon as possible.
Fees paid for classes canceled by the Parks &
Community Services Department will be returned in
full, with the exception of online convenience fees.
A request for transfer to another class must be done
in person at the Parks & Community Services office.
Refunds must be requested in writing prior to the
registration deadline. No refunds will be granted after the
first class meeting. A 20% handling fee will be applied
to ALL refunds or program transfers. Refunds take
approximately one month to process. No person shall be
subject to discrimination on the grounds of religion, race,
color, sex, or national origin.

A Child’s Place After School
Child Program (Licensed)
Moreno Valley Parks & Community Services
Department is accepting child care applications
for “A Child’s Place” After School Program at
the school sites listed below. Child care
services are available for children in kindergarten
through twelve years old. Child care is provided from after school until 6 pm, Monday
through Friday and on school breaks from
7 am to 6 pm. The program provides daily
homework assistance, arts and crafts, nutritious
snacks, and recreational activities for
children after school. The fee for the program
is free or at a reduced rate according to
the family’s income and family size. Parents
must either be working or attending school
to qualify for services. For more information,

Department works with THINK Together,
Moreno Valley Unified School District, and Val
Verde Unified School District to provide an
after school student enrichment program.
There is no charge for participation. This
program offers students homework help,
academic enrichment in the core subjects of
English/language arts, math and science, and
additional enrichment that includes visual and
performing arts, healthy living, physical fitness
activities, nutrition education, strategies for
resolving conflict and character education,
as well as student leadership development.

are as follows: DIFFICULT/STRENUOUS (significant elevation
gains; challenging terrain); MODERATE (some elevation
gains/hills); and EASY (basically flat/neighborhood walk).

Dial-A-Ride
Dial-A-Ride is an advanced reservation
transportation service for seniors and persons
with disabilities. Service operates seven days
a week. The base fare is $3 per passenger, per
boarding. The maximum fare is $9 per one-way

Lunch Program
Lunch is served to seniors age 60 and
older at 11:30 am, Monday through
Friday, by the Family Service Association.
