PRESIDENT’S
MESSAGE
My Fellow Rotarians and Rotary friends,
It gives me great pleasure to pen for the first time in our
Club Post as I start my term as the first Lady President for
the Rotary Club of Subang. Time sure flies very fast as I
still remember thinking that I had one year to go to prepare
myself for this role and before I know it, the time has come.
I am indeed proud that we have ended Rotary Year 2014-2015 by
hosting the final event for our District 3300 which is the
Light Up Rotary Awards & TRF Night on 26th June 2015. What an
experience it was and the great exposure we received from
organizing such an event!! I am sure like many other Rotarians
who attended this event, took back many sweet memories and
received achievements for their contribution to The Rotary Foundation
and
for
serving our communities. Indeed Rotary bridges gaps and makes things possible through
dedication and commitment of its members. Of course not forgetting the wonderful
teamwork from our Club members to ensure all went smoothly on that night. Kudos to all
of you!
We are very proud to have achieved the EREY Giving Club Award, 4th Highest PolioPlus
Giving Club Award and the Presidential Citation Award during this night. It indeed made
all of us proud to hear our club’s name being recognized.
We also witnessed the Rotaract District Awards Night on 20th June 2015 and are very
proud of our Rotaracters for winning the Best Rotaract Awareness Award, Best Rotaract
Club, the Rotaract Presidential Citation Award and Best Rotaractor for President Jimmy
Cheng. Congratulations to our Rotaractors for showing us exemplary commitment and
dedication to Service Above Self.
For this Rotary Year 2015-2016 with its theme of “Be a Gift to the World”, I would like
to see every member in the Club moving forward to realize their WHY of joining Rotary
and to use this “gift” that they have chosen to reach out to the needy in our
communities. Let’s work together and grow our signature projects such as “Back To
School”, “ Now You Can Read” and “Now You Can See” projects as well as make new projects
that addresses the needs in our communities.
Let us look back with pride and satisfaction on our achievements this same time next
year!
In Rotary Service,
President Shirley Hoe
