The 2015/16 Queensland Summer Racing Carnival is
structured to allow horses to progress through
the November and December period and arrive at
Australia’s richest raceday, Jeep Magic Millions
Raceday, in peak condition.
Multiple Listed and Group events throughout the carnival provide
owners and trainers with opportunities to not only win highly
sought after Black Type, but pick up some very attractive
prizemoney as well.
Highlights of the Carnival include:
GEORGE MOORE STAKES DAY
DOOMBEN, SATURDAY 28 NOVEMBER
With an honour roll that includes Lucky Hussler and Takeover
Target, the $200,000 Group 3 George Moore Stakes (1200m)
is a perfect Black Type opportunity for a sprinter on the rise.
LOUGH NEAGH STAKES DAY
DOOMBEN, SATURDAY 12 DECEMBER
The road to Magic Millions gathers momentum with the running of
the Lough Neagh Stakes (Listed, 1350m, $175,000), Gold Edition
Plate (Listed, 3YO, 1200m, $100,000), Calaway Gal Stakes (Listed,
2YOF, 1050m, $100,000) and Phelan Ready Stakes (Listed,
2YOC&G 1050m, $100,000).
BERNBOROUGH HANDICAP DAY
DOOMBEN, SATURDAY 19 DECEMBER
With a rich $175,000 purse that could provide the winner with a
wildcard entry to the $1M Magic Millions Trophy (1800m), at the
Gold Coast, on Saturday 9 January, the Listed Bernborough
Handicap (1600m) is an ideal event for connections with quality
middle distance gallopers to target. Recent winners include the
highly talented Natural Destiny and Tinto.

During the Queensland Summer Racing Carnival Doomben will
be home to 13 black type races. Features include the $200,000
George Moore Stakes, the $175,000 Lough Neagh Stakes and
the $175,000 Bernborough Handicap, which is also a qualifying
event for the $1M Magic Millions Trophy.

Please arrive 1 1/2 hours before your scheduled race start if you

BALLOTING CONDITIONS: In the event of a ballot being required horses shall be

Horses in the same weight penalty category shall be eliminated in order of
prizemoney won and those with equal prizemoney shall be eliminated by lot. For

penalties in Set Weight and SW&P events, no account shall be taken of bonuses
or added stakes payment not available to all horses eligible to be entered for the
