Gwyn writes about the May visit to Cornwall this year enjoyed by 56 singers from Devizes and Bath GAC and 8 supporters. Gwyn writes; This was our third visit to join Neil Shepherd and his Cornwall Community Choir, having previously been to St Ives and Camborne, as usual the arrangements for travel and accommodation went extremely smoothly, with the Premier Inn proving to be an ideal place to stay. The Saturday visit to Glendurgan Gardens was certainly a highlight and we were fortunate with the weather, some even going for a paddle in the sea. ‘ This year we were joined again by the Bath GAC which gave us an opportunity to make new friends and meet up with those who went on the very successful Canada trip to Halifax last year. Personally, I have enjoyed the opportunity that these visits with the choir give us to sing in new venues. The chapel in Truro was a typical Methodist building very reminiscent of those in South Wales where I was brought up. Neil's Community Choir, of about 100 singers, were so welcoming with the wining and dining, and their friendship. The evening concert went well, so, a good time had by all. BRISTOL The Bristol Good Afternoon Choir (pictured above) started early in April and already has over 70 members enjoying their Monday afternoons at TrinityHenleaze Church.
