The Hunter Family
Your Missionaries To
The Philippines
Dearest Prayer Warriors,
Greetings to you in the precious name of our LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST.
We praise God for your prayers and financial support. We would not have been able to
accomplish this tremendous work and seen the victories that we have seen without our
God given partnership. We are joyful to report that by the grace of God, your donation of
relief goods have successfully reached the typhoon victims of Daanbantayn, located on the
northern tip of the Island of Cebu. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Please take the time
to look at the pictures and read through the report.
This journey shall not be soon forgotten by our team of Baptists soldiers, composed of
ordinary members that worked together to accomplish an extraordinary task. To God be all
of the glory, honor, and praise due to His name!
A Partnership between
GIBM
& SWATCOM
We decided to print our own t-shirts so that when we traveled to Cebu it would be a good
testimony to every person that we met. Our goal is to lift up the name of JESUS CHRIST
through the LOCAL INDEPENDENT BAPTIST CHURCH ministries of GIBM & SWATCOM.
I praise the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY for
giving me a beautiful wife that is willing
to be a living sacrifice, and serve the
King of Kings and LORD of lords with
joyfulness and gladness of heart.
Monday morning December 2ND,

THE NATIONAL FOOD AUTHORITY, CEBU
APPROVED 67 SACKS OF RICE TO BE
RELEASED TO GIBM / SWATCOM FOR
TYPHOON VICTIMS IN DAANBANTAYAN.
THE FIRST 20 SACKS OF RICE THAT WERE RELEASED WERE LOADED ONTO MY PARENTS MITSUBISHI
STRADA TRUCK AND UNLOADED AT THE NEARBY POLICE STATION. THIS WAS BEFORE WE HAD THE
APPROVAL TO USE LTCOL. EPEʼS TRANSPORT VEHICLE. THANK GOD FOR HIS MERCY, GRACE, & FAVOR.
IT WAS A BLESSING TO MAKE FRIENDS
WITH THE POLICE OFFICERS IN CEBU
THEY WERE HAPPY TO HEAR THAT WE WERE
HEADED TO DAANBANTAYAN TO DISTRIBUTE
RELIEF GOODS TO TYPHOON VICTIMS.
BY THE GRACE OF GOD, WE PRINTED THE GIBM LOGO ONTO THE PLASTIC BAGS SO THAT THE PEOPLE WOULD KNOW
THAT THERE ARE CHURCHES IN THE USA THAT LOVE THEM, AND ARE PRAYING FOR THEM. EVERYONE WAS HANDED
RELIEF GOODS WITH A GOSPEL TRACT. OUR MAIN GOAL IS NOT TEMPORARY RICE, BUT THE ETERNAL BREAD OF LIFE.
WE PRAISE, AND THANK GOD FOR
THE PRIVILEGE TO REPRESENT GIBM.
BY THE GRACE OF GOD, WE WERE
ABLE TO REPACK RICE, CANNED
GOODS, NOODLES, AND CLOTHING.
WE DID ALL OF OUR REPACKING AT MY
PARENTS HOUSE IN MACTAN.
PASTOR JOHNNY ARGABIO, AND SOME OF
THE MEMBERS OF BBC BASAK MACTAN
HELPED US REPACK UNTIL 11:30PM. THANK
GOD FOR THEIR WILLINGNESS TO WORK.
PASTOR JOHNNY
ARGABIO
PASTOR GEM HIDALGO
WE SLEPT AT 12:00 MIDNIGHT, WOKE
UP AT 1:00 AM, STARTED TRAVELING
AT 2:00AM. WE WERE TIRED BUT MORE
EAGER TO ARRIVE IN DAANBANTAYAN.
IT TOOK US 4 HOURS TO DRIVE FROM
MACTAN TO BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH
DAANBANTAYAN. PRAISE GOD! WE
EJOYED EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!
DAYHAGON ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL, DESTROYED
WHO IS MY NEIGHBOR? (LUKE 10: 25- 37)
WE HAVE HEARD THE DAANBANTAYAN CALL TODAY!!!
IʼVE MET CHRISTIANS WITH EVERYTHING THAT NEVER SMILE. THIS LITTLE GIRL SMILES EVEN THOUGH SHES
LOST EVERYTHING. THEY WANTED TO KNOW WHEN WE WILL BE ABLE TO START AN A.C.E SCHOOL HERE IN
THEIR PLACE FOR INDIGENT PEOPLE. I TOLD THEM TO PRAY AND WAIT UPON THE LORD.
IT WAS VERY EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR
ME TO HOLD BACK MY TEARS. THE MORE
I SAW THE MORE I WEPT.
MANY AREAS LOOKED LIKE THEY
WERE HIT BY MISSILES, IT LOOKED
LIKE A WAR ZONE.
MOST OF THE RELIEF GOODS THAT HAVE BEEN GIVEN BY OTHER NATIONS ARE MAINLY BEING FOCUSED IN
TACLOBAN, SAMAR, AND LEYTE, BUT THERE ARE SO MANY AREAS THAT WERE STRUCK BY TYPHOON YOLANDA
THAT HAVE NOT YET BEEN REACHED. IN MANY CASES CORRUPT OFFICIALS ARE HOARDING RELIEF GOODS FOR
THEMSELVES, AND RESELLING THEM IN PUBLIC MARKETS. AN ARMY OFFICIAL TOLD ME THAT VICTIMS ON
CAMOTES ISLAND HAVE NOT RECEIVED RELIEF GOODS BECAUSE OF THE CORRUPT MAYOR.
WE WENT FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE
INVITING AS MANY PEOPLE AS WE
COULD TO COME AND LISTEN TO THE
WORD OF GOD.
THE PASTOR HAD ALSO INVITED
PEOPLE THE DAY BEFORE, MANY
ALREADY KNEW THAT WE WOULD BE
THERE THAT MORNING.
WHOLE HOUSING COMMUNITIES
TOTALLY DESTROYED. THE PEOPLE
LIVE WHEREVER THEY CAN WITH
THEIR FAMILIES.
ANYTHING THEY CAN FIND TO PUT ABOVE
THEIR HEADS TO KEEP THE RAIN OUT IS A
GREAT HELP. THE PEOPLE ASKED IF WE
BROUGHT NAILS TOO. I SAID NO.
ENTIRE ROOF TOPS WERE LITERALLY
LIFTED OFF FROM STRUCTURES AND
THROWN IN DIFFERENT AREAS.
MANY FAMILIES LIVE NEAR THE MAIN
ROAD SO THAT THEY WILL BE THE FIRST
TO KNOW WHEN RELIEF GOODS COME
INTO THE VILLAGE, AND BE FIRST IN LINE
PASTOR REY COMPUESTO IS OUR POINT OF
CONTACT NOW IN DAANBANTAYAN. I HAVE
HIS CELLPHONE NUMBER AND CAN SEND
MONEY TO HIM VIA CEBU FROM OUR TOWN.
HE ASKED ME TO SING, AND PREACH TO
THE PEOPLE. I WAS HONORED TO HAVE
THE PRIVILEGE TO LIFT UP CHRIST
JESUS TO THOSE WITHOUT HOPE.
PEOPLE STOOD ON THE SIDE OF THE CHURCH
BUILDING, LISTENING THROUGH THE
WINDOWS AND THEY ENJOYED IT! AMEN!
BY THE GRACE OF GOD, I PREACHED THE WORD OF GOD
IN THE CEBUANO LANGUAGE, AND MADE IT AS CLEAR AS
POSSIBLE. THE HOLY SPIRIT MOVED IN THEIR HEARTS.
THE LORD PLACED UPON MY HEART TO PREACH THE SIMPLE PLAN OF SALVATION IN GREAT DETAIL. IT TOOK ME OVER AN
HOUR TO FINISH, BUT THE PEOPLE WERE SPIRITUALLY HUNGRY, AND THIRSTY FOR THE WORD OF GOD. IT WAS AMAZING!
NOBODY WAS SLEEPNG, NO ONE CARED ABOUT THE TIME. WHEN I FINISHED PREACHING THEY WERE ASKING FOR MORE!!!!!
DURING THE INVITATION, SO MANY PEOPLE REPENTED OF THEIR SIN, GAVE THEIR HEARTS TO JESUS, TRUSTED, BELIEVED
AND RECEIVED THE PRECIOUS NAME, BLOOD, AND FINISHED WORK OF JESUS ON THE CROSS, AND BY FAITH ASKED HIM
TO WASH AWAY THEIR SIN, AND BE LORD AND SAVIOR OF THEIR LIVES. THEY UNDERSTOOD WHY JESUS DIED, WAS BURIED,
AND AROSE FROM THE DEAD. I THEN FOLLOWED UP WITH ASSURANCE OF SALVATION FOR ANOTHER 15 MINUTES AND
THEY UNDERSTOOD THAT ETERNAL LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS IS FOR ETERNITY, EVERLASTING, AND WITHOUT END. I HAD TO
MAKE SURE THAT THE GOSPEL MESSAGE WAS CLEAR BECAUSE I CAME TO FAR TO JUST GIVE TEMPORARY RELIEF GOODS.
BY THE GRACE OF GOD, WE WERE ABLE
TO DISTRIBUTE 1,005 PLASTIC BAGS OF
RELIEF GOODS TO THE PEOPLE. PRAISE
THE LORD! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
THE LORD PROVIDED US WITH A SAFE
PLACE TO PARK, BEHIND A RED GATE, SO
THAT WE WOULD NOT BE TRAMPLED ON.
MOM
HEREʼS A PICTURE OF MY MOTHER HELPING IN THE DISTRIBUTION OF RELIEF GOODS. SHEʼS THE
ONE IN WHITE. PRAISE THE LORD!
THERE WAS A VERY HUMID
TROPICAL HEAT THAT DAY.....
...BUT WE ENJOYED OUR WORK,
SERVING THE LORD WITH JOYFULNESS
AND GLADNESS OF HEART.

ON OUR WAY HOME WE STOPPED BY PLACES
AND PEOPLE THAT WERE CRYING OUT FOR
HELP. HOMES THAT WERE MOST DAMAGED.
THERE IS A TREMENDOUS JOY THAT CAN ONLY BE FOUND IN GIVING. RECEIVING
HAS A TEMPORAL JOY, BUT GIVING HAS AN ETERNAL JOY. WE WEPT BECAUSE WE
DID NOT HAVE MORE TO GIVE. IT IS TRULY MORE BLESSED TO GIVE!!!!!!!
BROTHER ALVINʼS SHOES WERE TORN APART
HELPING OTHERS. HE NEEDS NEW SHOES.
ON THE WAY HOME WE HAD A HUGE BLOW OUT IN THE LEFT
FRONT TIRE WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT 90 MPH. (ISA 41:10)
PRAISE GOD FOR HIS PRESENCE, PERFECT TIMING, AND THE PROTECTION THAT HE GAVE US
WHEN OUR ADVERSARY (THE DEVIL) AMBUSHED US ON THE HIGHWAY. WE ARE HAPPY TO BE
ALIVE. PSALM 91

THANK YOU GIBF AND PRAYER WARRIORS,
FOR GVING US THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE A
CHANNEL OF BLESSING TO OTHERS WHO
“SIT IN DARKNESS”.
OUR GROUP IS READY AND STANDING BY
FOR DEPLOYMENT ON OUR NEXT
MISSION. WE ARE MORE THAN WILLING
TO GO ANYWHERE IN THE PHILIPPINES.
THANK YOU FOR PARTNERING WITH US AND CHOOSING OUR TEAM TO
REPRESENT YOU ON THE FRONT LINES. IT IS AN HONOR AND PRIVILEGE.
Dearest Prayer Warriors,
Once again, thank you so very much for your prayers, fastings, and financial support. We
thank God for the blessing of being able to reach out to people and places that we have
never been. We look forward to representing you again in the near future in another part of
the Philippines.
We are currently in contact with a C-130. We would like to raise more rice, relief goods
and 2,000 kilos of nails that we may be able to bring to Samar, Leyte, or Tacloban. The
areas that have been hardest hit will not have electricity for another 4-6 months. We are
willing to connect with Baptist churches in any area of the Philippines.
If donations are smaller we will not be able to transport through C-130, but we can make
sure that your donation reaches the Baptist church in the area of your choice.
Please continue to lift up our family unto the LORD in prayer and fasting. We cannot
accomplish the ministry here in our own strength. The adversary is always looking for a way
to destroy. We praise God that you continually “hold the rope” for our family.
In CHRIST JESUS,
The Hunter Family,

the Philippines
