MOCK TRIAL 2014 VOLUNTEER TEAM:
Our Mock Trial Tournament would not be possible without the work of our very dedicated
VOLUNTEER CORPS. This team, many of whom have worked Mock Trial EVERY year,
works together under the leadership of DOUG JONES, ANDREA LEMBAS and ERASMIA
(Mia) SCHRADER to pull together all of the behind the scenes activities which make our
competition seem so together - from greeting team members and general public, to
monitoring hallways and directing to courtrooms and courthouse facilities, to taping
rounds, to distributing munchies, to coordinating distribution and collection of score
sheets, to taking pictures, to tabulation of scores, to applauding for a round well done.
WE SIMPLY COULD NOT OFFER THE PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT WE HAVE CRAFTED IN
THE ST. CLAIR COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL MOCK TRIAL COMPETITION WITHOUT THIS
VOLUNTEER FORCE.
MANY, MANY, MANY THANKS TO:
Christine Regan
Laurie Beals
Dan Ziehmer
Kristy Jones
Mia Schrader
Kathy Wurmlinger
Mike McMillan
Nicole MacMillan

Ken Kincaid
Matt Troy
Deb Lepley

IT TAKES a special person and a ton of dedication to solicit and manage our volunteer
staff so that an undertaking this big runs smoothly; we have two such special persons in
Probation Officer ANDREA LEMBAS, and, St. Clair County Chief of Probation DOUG
JONES, who have invested hours and hours of help with managing and directing our
Volunteer Force, and compiling and reporting the scoring, etc., etc., etc! Mock Trial is
blessed to have your support; THANK YOU, ANDREA and DOUG.
THANK YOU also to GWYN ATKINSON LEWIS, who each year has taken on the
responsibility for accepting and coordinating all of the funding for Mock Trial. GWYN was
VERY busy LAST YEAR with having given birth on February 2, 2013 to her first child,
Miss Lorelei Elizabeth Lewis! As it turns out, that was nothing compared to Gwyn having
a very active 1-year old! Nonetheless, GWYN has still expended countless hours of her
own private time contacting St. Clair County Bar Association Members and raising the
funds to allow the presentation of Mock Trial 2014; GWYN spent hours and hours
developing ad copy for this program. None of this event would be possible without
GWYN's assistance.
And finally, a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to CABLE CHANNEL SIX, Edward Senyk and
CHANNEL 6 TEAM, for filming and broadcast of the competition, and thereby creating an
awareness and an interest in our Community, as well as showing our Community what
our awesome hometown students can do!
Good Luck Mock Trial Students!
