EPS® (Eco Pickled Surface)
A new eco-friendly, “green” alternative to traditional acid pickling.
Line Length ~ 263 ft. (80m)

GREEN Technology – The EPS process has NO environmental impact, uses NO hazardous hydrochloric acid, and
has no contaminated water wastes inherent with acid pickling operations.

The EPS Slurry process produces a clean, uniform surface and mitigates common mill imperfections such as
pitting, roll marks or silicon streaks.

The EPS process offers customized surface topography for better paint adhesion and galvanizing – a feature not
possible with conventional acid pickling.

The EPS process produces a clean rust resistant product reducing the need for protective oil (RP oil can be
applied depending on customers requirements).
