The future of the South Devon breed and the cattle industry has never looked brighter. We are
excited to be cattle producers and more so to be South Devon breeders. This year’s sale offering
is a solid set. Our bulls never looked better and there is a great set of herd sire prospects, as well
as semen shares on the 2015 National Champion Bull. The 2015 Reserve National Champion Bull
is also in the sale line-up. The Poundmaker bulls are exceptional. There is a strong line-up of females, including several show prospects from the 2014/2015 DLCC showstring. There are many
junior show prospects also, for juniors who are planning on attending the 2015 ‘Junior Nationals’
to be held at the Morrison County Fairgrounds in Little Falls, Minnesota, June 25-27.
Raising South Devon cattle is a joy, their fertility, longevity, docility, feed efficiency and overall performance explains why South Devon’s are utilized in so many composite herds. These cattle will move the industry forward.

Terms and Conditions …
Terms:
The terms of the sale are cash or check payable at the sale location unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made prior to the sale.
Delivery:
Arrangements for delivery can be negotiated at the time of settlement. No cattle will be released
until after the conclusion of the sale. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as
payment is received.
Guarantee:
All bulls are fully guaranteed for the first breeding season.
Health:
Cattle sell according to the health regulations of the State of Minnesota. All cattle are tested for
Johnes and BVD. Bulls are semen tested and ultrasound data will be provided sale day.
Registration and Transfer:
All cattle sell with registration certificates. When making settlement please leave specific instructions for transfer.
Announcements:
Announcements made on sale day will supersede any information contained in the catalog.

Belmont has really taken off the past few
months, really coming together in terms of
shape, eye appeal, depth and weight. His
dam DLCC Mandi 2X comes from the Mandi
cow family, a 1/2 sister to DLCC Sure Enuf,
a breed changing sire, well-known
throughout the South Devon breed. His
dam averaged 118 on her first three calves
with a 360 day calving interval.
2015 Reserve National Champion Bull
I believe he could be the most complete
South Devon bull ever and will compliment
any breed. He is complete and genetically
superior to meet the desires of elite cattle
producers. An extremely powerful herd sire
prospect that comes from an excellent maternal line. Selling 1/2 interest.

Ranch sale in Columbus, MT.

Full Sib to 2015 Reserve National Champion Poundmaker Bull
His full brother DLCC Legend 18A was discovered last fall, where Jim Brown purchased
a 1/2 interest and continued on to win the
2015 Reserve National Champion Poundmaker Bull title. DLCC Legend 38B, a line
bred herd bull, will contribute to any commercial or purebred operation. He won his
class at the 2015 National South Devon
Show. Look at his Birth Weight EPD he
should be a true breed contributor.

When we started in 1986 with South Devons
I had no idea we would ever make herd bulls
this good. If you need to bring more ruggedness and bone shape into your cow herd
with a softness of design, here’s your bull.
Keith Raty has already purchased two sons
of this great cow and he never buys anything
except the very top end bulls. His dam has a
nursing ratio of 106 and is currently a Hallmark Dam. She’s really level-uddered, with
perfect teat size. He might be the best bull in
our 2015 offering, and that is saying something considering the first three lots.

Here is a red herd bull prospect in every aspect. Super correct, nice shape, good-footed
and very easy on the eye. His dam 20Y is off
to a good start with an average nursing ratio
on her first two calves of 109. He has lots of
muscle up over his top and rear quarter. He

lead off herd bull from the red bulls.

thickens up with overall muscle and shape.
Jace Thompson found his big bother last year,
DLCC 12A in the 2014 sale. We used him on
our show heifers before he went to Jace’s.

see what you think. This super line-bred calf
is smooth-headed, good-footed and has that
unique herd bull look. His dam 58Y has an
average nursing ratio on her first two calves

explaining this smooth, long-bodied herd
bull. His dam averaged 111 and along the
way has made Hallmark Dam status. Her calf
DLCC Durango 26Z has made it into the pasture at Nichols Farms, Leachman Cattle of
Colorado and Watinga South Devons in
South Australia. His top maternal genetics go
back to DLCC Mandi 18K the mother of DLCC
Sure Enuf 94M. What a great breeding package for the South Devon breed.

Wiley Fanta selected the 2013 heifer calf out
of the dam of this bull and she went on to be
the 2014 Reserve National Champion Female. 78U was and still is a real cowman’s
favorite. Her udder, big rib, shape and
soundness makes her a true champion in any
pasture. Bandito carries this maternal virtue
forward with ample shape, muscle and
soundness. If you keep replacements, put
this guy in your trailer and take him home.

There is a lot of carcass value bred into this
red herd bull prospect. Her son DLCC Dodge
City 78Y sold to Leon Athman. He uses the
bull for fall breeding and we used him last
year during the summer on a group of cows
with great success. Many breed greats are
noted in this pedigree. DLCC Princess Mia
78P, DLCC Hudson 82U and DLCC Perfect
Enuf 4M. Bravo has really taken off this winter. He’s deep, wide and moves out with incredible soundness of foot and leg.

This is a bigger, stouter Whiplash son. Again, if you need to add more frame and performance into your

and complete look. He’s really quiet, has
great lines and is soft in terms of condition.
His great, great, grand dam was our original

who sold last year in the Leachman Cattle of
Colorado spring sale to Kyle Stranberg. He
really gained well on test.

DLCC Bonjour 46B. He has tremendous eye
appeal and balance. A definite herd sire prospect. His sire DLCC Patriot 51Y sold in our
2012 sale. His calves look great here and he
is currently being used in the MJB Ranch
herd. In the catalog we said he would be one
of the breed greats and we believe his calves
will prove that. 46B’s dam is a great uddered
cow that has been a solid contributor to the
