ALL-CONFERENCE- Five varsity basketball players from Vienna were named to the
Gasconade Valley All-Conference Team. Pictured are Lori Wansing, (front left), Abby
Wieberg, Chris Helton, (back left), Neil Copeland and Jarret Struemph. Copeland was
named MVP of the conference on the boys side while Wansing received CO-MVP honors
on the girls side. Struemph, Helton, Wansing and Wieberg were named All-GVC last season
as well. Both the girls and boys varsity teams finished the GVC with 10-0records. See article
elsewhere in this edition.
Five Players Named To
All-Conference Team
Five
varsity
basketball
players from Vienna High
School were named to the
Gasconade
Valley
AllConference Team. A committee
of coaches from within the
conference selected the players
named to the prestigious GVC
. team.
On the boys side, juniors
Neil Copeland, Chris Helton
and Jarret Struemph
were
named
to the GVC AllConference Team. Both Helton
and Struemph were named to
the team last season as well.

Neil Copeland was named
Most Valuable Player of the
Conference. Jarret Struemph and
Chris Helton were named to the
All-Conference team last season
as well.
On the girls side seniors Lori
Wansing and Abby Wieberg
were named as unanimous
choices to the GVe
AllConference team. Both Wansing
and Wieberg were named to the
all GVC team last season as
well.
"Both Lori and Abby had
outstanding . senior seasons,"
commented head coach Mick
Byrd. "They are both very team
oriented, they play both ends of
the floor and they play hard.
They were both very important
in our outstanding conference
season this year."

Lori Wansing was named CoMVP of the Conference along
with senior Molly- Killeen of
Cuba.
Sunday School attendance at
Ricker Memorial on March 9
was 16. Church attendnace was
25. We sang Happy Birthday to
Erma Roberds. We enjoyed a
special by our pastor and wife.
They sang "If That Isn't Love."
We are looking ahead to the
next few weeks. On Saturday
night, March 22 at 7:00 p.m. we
will have a missionary service
with Karen Jones from Portugal.
After the service we will have
refreshments and fellowship in
the Friendship Hall.
On Easter Sunday, March 30,
we will have Sunrise Service,
breakfast, Sunday School and
morning worship. There will not
be an evening service.
