Creating Meaningful Impact Spark re-engages underserved seventh and eighth grade students, keeping them on track and ready for success in high school and beyond through workplace-based apprenticeships that uniquely combine mentoring, project-based learning, skill building and career exploration. Our Impact 93% of Spark students score highly on measures of attitudes such as feeling that hard work will make them more intelligent or school is important. 85% of Spark students meet or exceed expectations in skills such as working in teams, problem solving & communication. 73% of Spark students improve their engagement in the classroom, attendance or grades. 93% of Spark students finish the program on track for high school graduation. 92% of Spark students nationally have graduated or are on track to graduate on time. Doubling Our Reach Discovery Night Due to the generous support of investors and multiyear funders such as The Lenfest Foundation, Spark Discovery Night is Spark’s largest annual event in which students and their mentors showcase their unique career-discovery projects and celebrate the culmination of the program year.
