Advanced programme 16th-18th January, 2014 - Singapore 15th January, 2014 - Practical PCI Pre-Course Editorial Dear Friends, AsiaPCR/SingLIVE is already approaching its 5th year. Come next year, 16th-18th January, 2014, we will return to a renovated Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre. With its new and improved convention facilities, we hope to bring you a better and more educational Course with a refreshing learning experience. The latest innovation and techniques in interventional cardiovascular medicine will be discussed. Cardiovascular medicine in Asia-Pacific is on the rise, and we will continue to focus on the key issues that concern interventionists. In the Main Arena, the latest stent developments and issues related to daily practice will be intensively debated and their impact on clinical practice highlighted. We will also focus on structural heart disease, such as new developments in TAVI and other related topics of interest. Other important areas of focus include congenital heart interventions, renal denervation for resistant hypertension, and transseptal catheterisation techniques. There will be a dedicated room focusing on educative sessions developed by PCR. 22 Clinical cases, case complications and abstract submissions have shown to be a conducive platform for knowledge exchange in the medical community. AsiaPCR/SingLIVE therefore has seen a growing number of submissions from all over the world in the last 4 years. The ever popular Interactive Case Corner will continue to be an excellent avenue for impassioned interactions with our expert faculty. The final programme can be expected in the following weeks as our programme committees of key Asian and International leaders work together to formulate new concepts and inject fresh ideas into the Course. Such joint efforts will provide an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and betterment of cardiovascular medicine in the Asia-Pacific region. We hope you will join us in this enriching journey in Singapore on 16th -18th January 2014, not forgetting the Practical PCI Course on 15th January 2014. The nurses, radiographers and technicians forum will focus on essential technical issues that will allow the staff to provide critical support in different situations in the cathlab. To help the young interventionists polish their craft, there will be a one day Practical PCI Pre-Course on 15th January. It will feature a one-stop meeting focusing on the practical and technical aspects of PCI. This Course was introduced at AsiaPCR/SingLIVE 2013 and was filled with robust discussion between the enthusiastic audience and panellists. We hope that the Course will continue to serve as a platform for young budding cardiologists to learn and exchange with experts in the field.
