On Thursday June 19th, we surprised
Lois Harrison with a retirement party
in her honor. Thank you to all friends,
family and neighbors who attended
and help kept this a surprise. Lois
thoroughly enjoyed her party and we
would like to share some photos
throughout this newsletter.

Meeting was called to order on June17th 2014 at 7:11 pm by President Les Achterberg
We are down to the last of the preparations for our Horse Show which will be held on July 20th 2014 at the Waukau
Arena. The judge this year is Tia Koehler. As in the past, the Pickett Horse Club greatly appreciates the generosity &
support via donations and volunteering to keep our shows a success.
Come and watch the fun, we will have food and beverages on the grounds
Anyone having questions regarding the horse show or would like to volunteer you may contact President Les
Achterberg at 920-748-3230 or Alice Rasmussen at 920-570-0182.
Anyone interesting in becoming a member please contact President Les Achterberg at 920-748-3230.
We have changed our meeting night to the 3rd Tuesday of the month beginning at 7 pm.
There are no Birthdays for the month of July.
The Pickett Horse Club sadly reports that member Roger Rose passed away on June 16th 2014. May you Rest In Peace.
Red for the blood shed in the name of Freedom, for which we fought, united
Blue for the oceans of time we have crossed, remaining the land of the free
White for the peace we wish to share, all men created equal
Stars to remember those who fought throughout the night, bravely for our land
Stripes to remind us of the lashings taken by the Prisoners of War
With a seal, in God we trust We each are one of many, in which we stand united in Brotherhood A symbol of Pride
A salute to those who died in the fight
A blanket to cover us in times of need Waving high to show we are still here, undefeated With honor you are
presented to the world By~ Michelle Selby
God Bless and Happy Independence Day!
