The Alpine Club, founded in 1953 is one of the best known
German-Canadian Clubs. Most of this club's members
originated from Gottschee, Austria and Germany. The cozy
atmosphere combined with excellent home-cooked meals
prepared by the Ladies Auxiliary, entertainment by ethnic German
dance groups, and great music all make the Alpine Club a very popular
choice. You'll find the crowd ranging in age from University students to
senior citizens. This hall was the 1999 winner of the "Gastfreundschaft
Award" for German Clubs & the "Gemuetlichkeit Award" winner in

Ostanek & his polka band for a great Oktoberfest luncheon buffet and an afternoon filled
with music & dance, keg tapping and an authentic dance group. Enjoy yodelling and
cowbells with Deb Misener-Jones. Capacity: 1,000 Berkley VIP Room – Oktoberfest’s VIP
treatment. Enjoy appetizer, buffet, entertainment, late snacks and access to the festivities in

known for today … Canada’s “Home” of Oktoberfest! Celebrating 135 years of German
heritage in Canada, the Concordia Club is the largest ethnic German Club in Canada.
The entertainment and food during the Festival, as well as the rest of the year, is as
unique and diverse as is the heritage of the Concordia Club.
The capacity of the building is 700 which swells to 3,950 with the addition
of a free standing tent during Oktoberfest. Both the Weinstube “Wine
Room” and Jägerstube “Hunters Room” have a seating capacity of 50; the
Schenke “Tavern” 150 and the main hall 450. Come join us for some great
German fare! You're sure to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere with unique
hand-painted murals of our old German culture and food that Schmeckt
Gut! The Schenke is open 6 days a week for lunch and dinner.
