The WAZA Artisans
Aug 12, 13, & 14 2016
Booklet Advertisers
The Waza represent a select group of over 100 artisans skilled in
traditional crafts dating back to Japan’s Edo Period, 300 years ago. These artisans are
here to share traditional Japanese culture. While the Waza travel throughout the world,
Ginza Holiday at the Midwest Buddhist Temple is one of their few appearances in the
United States. This year we are very pleased to welcome the following master artisans:
Kokan Fujimura – Ichimatsu Dolls
Chihiro Kawakami – Tenugui (decorative Japanese towels)
Eiji Kinoshita – Traditional Japanese Pottery
Mitsuaki Yokoya – Wood Carvings
