caring for their terminally ill children
and raising their grandchildren, and
for children orphaned by this disease -- is incalculable," says Bunch.
"This is a story of people coming

The award-winning documentary
was a joint project of the public
relations and broadcast media staff
at Rotary's world headquarters in
Evanston, Illinois. In addition to
Chudzinski, producer Vivian Fiore,
writer/editor Todd Murphy, and
executive producer Stephen Guenther worked on the film.
"We went through many different
outlines, thoughts, and angles, and
worked closely with Marion [Bunch]
on it," says Fiore. "It evolved into a
better piece than we all imagined."
In 2012, Rotary won a Silver Telly for
its documentary "Doing Good in the
World: Growing Local Economies."

THE OBJECT OF ROTARY
The object of Rotary is to encourage
and foster the ideal of service as a basis
of worthy enterprise and in particular,
to encourage and foster:
FIRST, the development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
SECOND, high ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of
the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to
serve society;
THIRD, the application of the ideal service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;
FOURTH, the advancement of internal
understanding, goodwill, and peace
through a world of fellowship of business and professional persons united in
the ideal of service.
A ROTARY PRAYER
As Rotarians, we thank the Lord for this
food and for the fellowship we are enjoying
this evening. We pray that this sustenance
may strengthen us physically and that the
friendship we enjoy enrich us spiritually so
that we can serve mankind by spreading
peace and kindness. AMEN.

BCP starts the week right
with the BOD and ongoing projects
After spending a great time
bonding with some of the Rotarians and RS during their tour in Europe and
upon arriving in the Philippines, BCP Ryan
gathered the Board of Directors for a more
serious talk. Their main course is how to
steer the club and drive the members to participate fully in the last few activities of RY
2014-15.
MARCH 16
BCP Ryan’s term will be ending soon but the
Club President wants to dedicate the remaining months with much more memorable community services.
The BOD meeting turned out to be a very productive one and as always, a dinner night full
of stories, ideas, and happy chitchats.

"Because of that one single tragedy,
my life's journey changed dramatically, from a very engaged businesswoman to a warrior on AIDS and
advocate of human rights," Bunch
told senior White House staff in October, when she was honored as one
of 10 Rotary Women of Action for
2014. A member of the Rotary Club
of Dunwoody, Bunch is the founder
and CEO of Rotarians for Family
Health and AIDS Prevention, a group
of members that collaborates with
Rotary clubs and districts on healthrelated projects.
The Rotary Health Days project, now
in its fifth year and supported by
Rotary clubs in Africa, has grown to
deliver free basic health care, including HIV/AIDS screening and other
preventive services, to underserved
communities in Ghana, Nigeria,
South Africa, and Uganda. It began in
2010, when Ugandan Stephen
Mwanje, then governor of District
9211, asked Bunch if the Rotarian
group would organize a multisite,
comprehensive health event.

MARCH 13
An extension of RC Naga’s fellowships would always be celebrations like this. Rotarians who are part of
Rotary Club of Naga know very well that when they enter this organization, they are also becoming a
limb of a larger circle of family. Inasmuch as enjoying community services, Rotarians would never miss
an opportunity to gather, have fun, and celebrate life’s blessings with their beloved RC Naga family. BCP
Ryan Bastareche celebrated his birthday last March 13 and it was truly a memorable and happy one!
