Wheels need new colors
Light alloy wheels are typically silver. Sure, from time to
time you will see the occasional black one. But colors?
Luckily the RONAL GROUP looks at things differently
and has launched the first colored alloy wheel ready for
series production (MCR - Multi Color Rim). The MCR
line boasts not just one but multiple colors – a new powder coating and processing technology have made the
unimaginable possible! Unlike conventional processes,
the color is not applied by hand or with foils but rather
by way of powder coating, just like standard paint. Just
perfect for a colorful summer, don’t you think?

During the development of the RONAL Turbo wheel it
never crossed anybody’s mind that it would become a
cult classic one day. The wheel was actually developed
in a very unconventional way for motor sports: In fact
the go-ahead did not even come from management or the
marketing department. It was more a case of a “secret
project” designed in very limited free time. We owe our
cult classic wheel to the initiative of Harald Ertl, the famous racing driver who won the DRM championship in
1978 driving a BMW 320 Turbo.
The Austrian driver worked his charm on RONAL’s then
head of development until he came up with the threepiece RONAL Turbo wheel. This pioneering spirit garnered him enormous publicity at the time.
Today, 36 years after its market launch, it is less about
the Ertl-Lotus cult and more about the RONAL R10.
With the R50 AERO wheel and the new, completely polished surfaces, the RONAL GROUP continues to consistently refine these wheels into a contemporary version of
the cult classic for the 21st century.

The high-quality, ball polished wheels SL3 and SL4
Forged were specially developed for exclusive ­vehicles
in the high-end segment. The monoblock wheel is cut
from a forged raw part, resulting in a considerably thinner wall and higher load capacity, unlike conventional
cast wheels. The ultralight FORGED wheels meet maximum technical requirements and are impressive not only
due to their extremely light weight but also their sporty

The RONAL GROUP has been
very successful with so-called
flow forming technology, aiming to manufacture increasingly lighter aluminum alloy
wheels. Using this special production technique, it is
possible to reduce the volume in the wheel base by up to
50 percent. This remarkable weight saving has a positive
­impact on consumption and thus on the environment.
The popular variety of the design remains intact – as
does the typical, familiar high safety standard.

MOTOR SHOW 2013 from 30 November to 8 December. At the RONAL GROUP‘s new trade show stand,
visitors to Germany’s largest car accessory show had the
opportunity to be amazed at the large range of RONAL
and SPEEDLINE CORSE wheels, not to mention the
number of new products and innovations. The RONAL
GROUP also launched an exclusive new product in
­Essen, Carbon Revolution – Europe’s first one-piece
carbon wheel. Maintaining its typical quick pace, the
RONAL GROUP will once again appear at a variety of
trade shows this year – notably at the REIFEN 2014 at
the end of May, once again in Essen.
