been active in the real estate and lending
arena for more than 30 years. He worked as a
REALTOR® Broker in his family’s real estate
company on the Monterey Peninsula for many
years and for the past 21 years he has headed
up several mortgage operations in Northern
California including Lyon’s Royal Viking
Mortgage and the Sacramento region of
Coldwell Banker/Sear’s Mortgage. He is the
President and CEO of First Security Financial
Group (FSFG), a Northern California mortgage
brokerage. He continues to work as a loan
originator with Challis Financial Group, an
affiliate of FSFG.

Welcome to our 34th Annual Masters Club Awards
Ceremony. We are all so very proud of our Masters
Club Members for 2008. What each of you has accomplished this year is far greater than in previous years.
You have had to work with an open mind and an open
heart during these trying times. Making Masters Club in
2008 greatly proves you are in a circle of the best of the
best REALTORS® in Placer County. As we reviewed the
applications it was truly impressive to see 261 members
making Master's Club. This shows you that hard work
and a positive attitude do pay off. I am sure that even if
you have been a Master's Club member for several
years you have had to adjust your marketing and everyday business plan, however that is what makes you a
Masters Club Member.
During the year the Masters Club Committee organized
an awesome round table luncheon and a very enjoyable fall mixer. At our 3rd Annual Round table
Luncheon we had topics including 1) Working
Successfully With a Partner 2) Something Positive in a
Negative Media Business 3) Having Fun With REO and
Bank Owned Properties 4) The Future of Real Estate
Technology 5) Dealing with New Loan Guidelines 6)
Shortcuts to Short Sales. It was truly an awesome
event. The committee and affiliates provided so much
useful information that if you missed this event you will
want to make sure you attend it this year. Our fall
Mixer was held at Whitney Oaks with a very successful

coat drive. We were able to have a great time networking and also had over 100 coats to donate to Salvation
Army.
I feel so blessed for the opportunity to have served as
the Masters Club Chairperson for 2 years with the most
awesome committee members, they are all team players. It has truly been a wonderful and exciting journey
working with such an amazing group of ladies. Also, as
an extra bonus, this experience has helped me meet so
many great Masters Club Members. I always look forward to selling one of your listings or having one of you
present an offer on one of my listings.
Let's continue as Master Club Members to show our
professionalism, kindness, strong work ethic and ability
to make things happen in the Real Estate Market with a
smile.
I look forward to seeing all of you at our Round table
