Festivals Swedish Days – A Midsommar Festival June 18 – 23, 2013 • June 17 – 22, 2014 Year after year, smiles return to faces at Swedish Days, Geneva’s Midsommar Festival. During this 6-day celebration, the whole family can enjoy a parade, great food, carnival rides, live music and Sweden Väst – an area dedicated to all things Swedish…and of course, great shopping in our historic business district. The Geneva Arts Fair July 27 – 28, 2013 • July 26 – 27, 2014 Join us for a day of browsing and shopping at our outdoor gallery of juried fine art. Voted one of 200 best Art Shows by Sunshine Artist Magazine, the Geneva Arts Fair showcases the work of esteemed artists from around the country. Festival of the Vine September 6 – 8, 2013 • September 5 – 7, 2014 The autumn harvest is celebrated with food and wine tasting, flower markets, antique carriage rides, family games, music & live entertainment and our renowned Fine Arts & Craft Show. Explore the best of Geneva cuisine featuring a smorgasbord of specialties from Italy, Mexico and France. Christmas Walk & Holiday House Tour December 6 – 7, 2013 • December 5 – 6, 2014 Christmas Walk Enjoy an evening of shopping and dining in historic Geneva and delight in chestnuts roasting, strolling carolers, and complimentary Swedish cookies and hot cider. Festivities begin at 6 pm on Friday with the horse-drawn carriage arrival of Santa Lucia and Santa Claus who light the Great Tree on the courthouse lawn. Events continue throughout the weekend. House Tour The House Tour takes place on Friday from 11 am – 8 pm and Saturday from 11 am – 4 pm. This self-guided tour consists of five distinctive homes festively decorated for the season, a traditional tea at the First Congregational Church and a keepsake decorating and entertaining ideas booklet.
