GYROMAX™ INCUBATOR SHAKERS
Amerex's GYROMAX™ and SteadyShake™ orbital shakers incorporate design features that offer quiet,
maintenance-free shaking under a constant and reproducible temperature environment. Eleven different
models meet the needs of most biological research laboratories for shaking under a precisely controlled
temperature environment are available in four basic housing configurations.
STEADYSHAKE™ 757 AND 757L BENCHTOP
The SteadyShake™ 757 and 757L are economical and compact benchtop incubator
shakers. The 757 occupies only 18"W x 19"D of space, and the 757L is slightly larger
(20.5"W x 25.5"D) for increased flask capacity. The 757 can accommodate four 2-liter
Erlenmeyer or two 2.8-liter Fernbach flasks, and the 757L five and four of these, respectively.
The lid has a large viewing window and a microprocessor temperature controller maintains
precise temperature control from 3°C above ambient to 70°C. A quiet fan ensures air and
temperature uniformity throughout the chamber. The brushless, maintenance-free drive motor
generates speeds from 40 to 400 RPM (60 Hz frequency) which is displayed on a digital
readout. A triple-eccentric drive with counter-balancing weights provides smooth and quiet
shaking, and eliminates the inconvenience of making balancing adjustments as the load
increases. The timer switch affords a choice of flipping between a continuous run and a timed
run up to 99 hours and 59 minutes. An independent over-temperature thermostat,
conveniently located on the control panel, prevents over-heating.
MODEL 727 AND 737 -BENCHTOP/UNDER BENCH TYPE
The 727 (height, 30.3"), 737 (height, 33.5"), and 747 (height 32.6") can fit on or under most
workbenches. All these models can be stacked to save valuable laboratory space. The 727 is
compact and occupies only 20"W x 27"D of space. With a height of 30.3", it can fit on or under
a workbench. You can also stack two 727 units. The chamber holds a 15"W x 15"D platform
and accommodates flasks up to 4 liters. Using the shelf (one is included) and the shaking
platform, you can incubate Petri dishes and shake flasks at the same time. You can adjust the
shelf height and use more than one shelf in the chamber.
MODELS 737/737R AND 747/747R BENCH TYPE AND STACKABLE
The 737/737R Shakers have a footprint of 33"W x 24"D. This versatile, sturdy flat -top can
serve as a benchtop or you can stack two of the 737s, or a 737 and a 737R on top of each
other to save space. With a height of 34", the 737 can fit under many benchtops, while the taller
refrigerated 737R (at 41") cannot. The 20.5"W x 18.0"D platform is large enough to
accommodate nine 1-liter, six 2-liter, twenty-five 250-mL, or two 6-liter flasks. The 737 and
737R use the same shelf system as the 727. The 737R is equipped with a frost-free
refrigeration system for working at or below ambient temperature. The chamber has a built-in
outlet used for powering small equipment such as a cell bottle roller or a rocker. The 747/747R
design is similar to that of the corresponding 737/737R, but offers more capacity. They can
accommodate just as many or more flasks of a given size than the chest type 767/767R.They
also offer advantages over chest type shakers such as a shelf, a smaller footprint, and the
ability to stack two units. The 787/787R are affordably priced models with similar performance
as the 737/737R and 747/747R. These are excellent alternatives when there is a budget
constraint.
MODELS 767/767R AND 777/777R CHEST TYPE
The 767/767R and 777/777R are chest type incubator shakers that are mounted on casters.
They feature a front glass window that enables the user to look into the chamber when away
from the shaker. The 767/767R accommodates a 30"W x 18"D platform while the 777/777R,
with a 38"W x 24"D platform, offers the most capacity among all chest type incubator shakers
in the marketplace. For example, they can accommodate twenty-four 1-L, fifteen 2-L, or six 6-L
flasks. In the refrigerated models 767R and 777R, a chamber temperature as low as 4°C can
be maintained

GYROMAX™ OPEN AIR SHAKERS
The 800 series of open-air shakers offer a choice of three shakers with five platform sizes. The largest model, 818, is a
large-capacity heavy-duty shaker with a 38" x 24" platform. Both the mid-size 828 and the smallest 838 offer a choice of
two platform sizes. The SK-838 is a compact unit, yet is large enough carry a significant load. The shakers feature
microprocessor control and digital RPM and timer readouts. The microprocessor regulates the speed to within ±1 RPM
of set point. The acceleration circuitry provides for a smooth ramp-up of speed to minimize splashing. The drive system
features a triple-eccentric drive that is dynamically balanced with counter weights This feature eliminates the need to
make adjustments as the load increases, and together with a low-profile design, ensures a smooth, stable and quiet
operation. A fan cools the drive motor to ensure a long life. A timer can be set to 99 hours and 59 minutes or to 9999
minutes in increments of one minute. If the timer is not needed, it can be easily disabled and the shaker set to run
continuously. In case of power failure, the timer will count from where it last stopped after it resumes running.
Maintenance-free brushless motor cooled by a fan for long life., Dynamically balanced, triple-eccentric drive for long life
and smooth, stable, and quiet operation. Eliminates need for adjustments as the speed changes. Shaking speed: 40 to
400 RPM (slightly lower at 50 Hz).Digital RPM setting and display in 1 RPM increments. In case of power failure, the
timer will count from where it last stopped when the shaker resumes running. Timer setting and display: 99 hours 59
minutes or 9999 minutes in 1 minute increments, or continuous. Timer can count up or down.

GYROMAX™ WATER BATH SHAKERS
Amerex's GYROMAX™ orbital and reciprocating water bath shakers incorporate design features that offer
quiet, maintenance-free shaking under a precisely controlled and reproducible temperature environment.
MODELS 929, 939, AND 939XL
GYROMAX™ 929 is an orbital shaker with a 38-liter bath. Its 19.0"W x 12.5"D platform is
larger than any in the marketplace and can accommodate fifteen 250-mL flasks. The
platform assembly includes baffle for efficient water mixing.
GYROMAX™ 939 and 939XL are reciprocating bath shakers. The shaking speed and
shaking stroke are both adjustable. Model 939 has a 39-liter bath with a 15.7"W x 11.8"D
platform. Model 939XL is larger, and features a 54-liter bath with a 24.4"W x 11.8"D
platform for greater throughput. Each shaker incorporates a circulating pump to ensure
optimum mixing and temperature uniformity.

INCUMAX™ INCUBATORS (WITHOUT REFRIGERATION)
IncuMax™ IC80, IC150, IC250, and IC500 incubators from Amerex feature a forced filtered air circulation
system that provides both exceptional temperature uniformity and rapid heat recovery throughout its
stainless steel chamber. The control panel is conveniently located at the top of the incubator. The door is
locked when closed. A heat-resistant silicone rubber provides durable and effective seal. Two refrigerated
models, IC150R and IC500R, are suitable for applications at/or below ambient temperature. An electrical
outlet enables small laboratory equipment to be operated inside the chamber.
The incubators feature an independent over-temperature thermostat that eliminates over-heating. A timer is
programmable from 1 minute to 99 hour and 59 minutes. Two adjustable shelves are supplied with the
IC80, IC150 & IC150R, three with the IC250, and four with the IC500 and IC500R.

IncuMax™ IC80, IC150, IC250, and IC500 incubators from Amerex feature a PID
microprocessor controller and a forced air circulation system to provide both exceptional
temperature uniformity and rapid heat recovery throughout its stainless steel chamber. For the
IC-80 and IC150, you can stack one unit on top of another to conserve laboratory space. To
reduce contamination, forced air entering the chamber passes through a filter. The timer is
programmable from 1 minute to 99 hours and 59 minutes. The incubators also feature an
independent over-temperature thermostat that eliminates over-heating.
The control panel is conveniently located at the top of the incubator. The door is locked when
closed, providing a tight seal. A viewing window allows observation inside the chamber without
opening the door. For light-sensitive materials, you can use a sliding panel to cover the window.
A heat-resistant silicone rubber provides a durable and effective seal. Two adjustable shelves
are supplied with the IC80 and IC150, three with the IC250, and four with the IC500. An access
port allows access by temperature probes into the chamber.

The 5.3 cu. ft. IncuMax™ IC150R and 17.7 cu. ft. IC500R lowtemperature/BOD incubators from Amerex feature a microprocessor PID

HYBRIDIZATION OVENS
MODELS HS-101 AND HS-111
Amerex's model HS-111 is a versatile, compact hybridization oven that also functions as
an incubator shaker. It incorporates a microprocessor temperature controller that
together with a large and quiet circulating fan, assure uniform and precise temperature
control. The large 12.5" x 14.8" double-paned glass window enables one to clearly and
easily observe the inside of the entire stainless steel chamber.
The rotisserie can accommodate eight or sixteen 40-mm tubes, depending on their
length. It also can accommodate 50-mL, 15-mL, 1.5-mL and 2.0-mL tubes using
appropriate accessory clips. For tri-directional rotation, one can easily offset the two tube
holders of the rotisserie assembly by up to 20 degrees to generate a rotary action that
moves liquid from one end of the tube to the other. The resulting greater rigorous
washing action allows the use of less probe solution and effects greater hybridization
efficiency.
The HS-111 increases the versatility of a hybridization oven by incorporating a platform
for shaking Erlenmeyer flasks of size up to 500 mL. By removing the rotisserie from the
chamber - and this can be done in seconds - the platform can accommodate a 6-liter
flask. The platform can also be used for slowly shaking a tray used in wash procedures,
and is more convenient than removing the rotisserie and replacing it with a rocker
attachment. A unique, dynamically-balanced triple eccentric drive provides smooth and
quiet shaking up to 300 RPM, making the HS-111 a true incubator shaker for bacteria or
cell culture. The HS-101 is similar to the HS-111, except that it does not incorporate a
shaking platform.

CONVECTION OVENS: INCUMAX™
CV80, CV150 AND CV250
IncuMax™ CV80, CV150 and CV250 convection ovens from Amerex, feature a
microprocessor temperature controller with simultaneous displays of the set temperature
(up to 250°C) and oven temperature. In addition, a drying time up to 99 hours and 59
minutes can be programmed. A two-speed fan provides forced convection for uniform
temperature distribution and rapid heat recovery throughout the stainless steel chamber.
An adjustable air exhaust, which can be fully closed to fully open, is provided to control
the rate of drying, baking or curing.
The control panel is conveniently located at the top of the oven. The door is locked when
closed. A heat-resistant silicone rubber provides a durable and effective seal. Two
adjustable shelves are supplied with the CV80 and CV150 and three with the CV250.

CIRCULATING BATHS: LOW-TEMPERATURE
The CB-212 and CB-222 are closed-loop refrigerated circulating baths ideal for direct immersion of
samples or for cooling in many laboratory equipment such as rotary evaporators, lasers and
chromatography systems. The CB-212 is a compact 9-liter bench top unit while the CB-222 is a 19.5-liter
unit mounted on casters that could be placed on a bench top or the floor. Each bath features a PID
microprocessor temperature controller for precise and stable temperature. The working temperature range
is from -25°C to 100°C. Other features include a lo w-liquid level shut off, an easy-to-read bright LED digital
display, a bath drain valve for easy cleaning and replacement of coolant, and easily removable front grille

TUBE SEALER: CRYOPROOF™ 313
Manufacturers of microtubes do not recommend storing them under cryogenic conditions because of the
potential of liquefied nitrogen seeping into the tube through the cap. Current methods manually encase the
entire tube in a heat shrink tubing using a heat gun.
The CryoProof 313 is an innovative and patented tube sealer that automatically heat shrinks a short plastic tubing to
seal only the cap of a cryogenic tube, and assures a leak-proof seal in seconds. The seal reduces the potential loss of
valuable the samples during cryogenic storage arising from very cool air or liquid nitrogen seeping into the tube, or the
release of hazardous samples from the tube.
The CryoProof sealing process is microprocessor controlled, and involves simply
placing the tube into a holder, putting a heat shrink tubing over the cap, and pressing
a button. A beam of hot air shrink wraps the tubing around the cap as the rotating
tube to form a seamless and uniform seal. The temperature of the hot air from the
CryoProof is controlled precisely and the beam is focused only on the rotating cap.
The result is a more consistent and reliable seal compared to manual sealing using
a heat gun and crimping the hot ends of the plastic tubing. By sealing the cap and
not the entire tube, you still can place the tubes in their regular racks for easy
storage and identification after sealing.

INCUBATOR SHAKER ACCESSORIES
Optional accessories include platforms, clamps, full and custom spring racks, microtiter plate holders and
additional shelves. Platform holes are drilled to accommodate the different clamps purchased. Spring racks
are designed for holding tubes in a horizontal, angled, or upright position. They can also be used to hold
flasks up to 1-liter without clamps. The racks consists of a 2-tier grid of stainless steel springs. The distance
between the two grids is adjustable so as to accommodate tubes and flasks of different heights. The spring
racks are fastened onto the platform by four screws. Custom spring racks (photo above) allow for a
combination of large flasks, microtiter plates and tubes on a given platform.

WATER BATH SHAKER ACCESSORIES
Optional accessories include clamps, stainless steel and acrylic gable covers, spring racks, platforms
(standard in GYROMAX 939 and 939XL) and cooling coils for piping in circulating cold water into the bath.
The spring rack mounts on the platform, and consists of a 2-tier grid of stainless steel springs attached to
holes on opposite sides of the rack. It is used to hold flasks up to 1-liter without the need for clamps and for
holding tubes of various diameters and heights in a horizontal, an angled, or an upright position.
