ITEM OF INTEREST
For the Clandonald Agricultural Society to be recognized as an agricultural society, we must have a
membership of at least 50 or more persons with not less than 25 of whom must be engaged in
agricultural production. This member qualification is renewed every year and is compulsory for a society
to be eligible for all or any government grants to our community.
A person may become a member of the society at any time on payment to the Treasurer of a
membership fee of $1.
Quotes are from the Agricultural Society Bylaws Act. Memberships for this year will be available at the
Exhibit Hall on Friday and the Pancake Breakfast on Saturday morning.

received later.
2.
All entries are to be left for exhibit for Saturday, August 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
3.
All entries shall be removed by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6.
4.
The Clandonald Agricultural Society cannot be held responsible for any damage or harm, accident
or otherwise, to any person attending the Fair either as an exhibitor or to any exhibit or for any
other reason, nor can the Society be held responsible for any accident that may happen at other
events or entertainment put on by the Society.
5.
There shall be only one exhibit per family in any one class except children under 15 may enter
each class in any section. To enter Seniors, you must be 65 and over. People may enter in only
one age group category.
6.
All entries shall have a class number.
7.
An exhibitor's fee of $2 will be charged to all non-members of the Clandonald Agricultural Society.
8.
All exhibits must be listed on the printed entry form attached to this booklet. Extra forms are
available on request. All entries shall be filled in and signed by the exhibitor prior to presenting to
the exhibit taggers.
9.
Individual entry tags must be presented with each entry if you have numerous entries. Tags are
available at the Clandonald Post Office, Clandonald Country Store, or by phoning (780) 853-2084.

Exhibit entries are judged and awarded first, second, and third prize ribbons and a cash prize of
$3, $2, or $1 where applicable. If there are no suitable entries, no ribbons or cash prizes will be
awarded. All final decisions will be made by the judges. If there are any discrepancies to prize
money awarded for exhibits, this needs to be brought forward by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the
fair.
12.
Where the total number of exhibits in any class is less than three, the judges are at liberty to
amalgamate such items with others of like character or where the judges are of the opinion that
the exhibits do not justify any award, prizes shall be awarded according to standing.
13.
All entries presented for competition must be fresh and clean, and must conform to quantity or
size specified, otherwise they will be disqualified. Homemade items should be made within the
past 5 years.
14.
All exhibits must be the work of the exhibitor and not previously shown at the Clandonald Fair.

EXHIBIT HALL WORKERS
Every year, we have many volunteers that work at the Exhibit Hall. We try to contact these people early
enough for them to make the necessary arrangements to spend the afternoon helping make the exhibits
a success. The jobs are many, but we always have a lot of help. Everyone who gives their time deserves
our heartfelt thanks. Entries are received from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., after which judging shall
commence.
