Plane, train or car, Fairmont St Andrews may have the
feeling of a countryside retreat, but it is easily accessible
by all forms of transport.
By Train: Leuchars train station is just 7 miles and
Dundee train station 14 miles, each with excellent taxi
service available from right outside the station door or
our Concierge will be delighted to organise
transportation for you.
By Plane: Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee airports
are all within a two hour drive of the resort, with
Dundee just 15 miles, Edinburgh 60 miles and Glasgow
75miles. There are hire car facilities available at each
airport, or alternatively our Concierge can pre-arrange
car hire for you, or transfers to and from the airports.
By Car: For those that wish to drive, from Edinburgh
take the M90 or from Glasgow take the M8 signed to
Edinburgh. Then from both take the Forth Road
Bridge (Toll) then join the M90 and follow all signs to
St Andrews. From Dundee follow signs for the Tay
Road Bridge (Toll) A914 and then signs to St Andrews.
Once in St Andrews, at the first roundabout take the
second exit for the town centre, at the next roundabout
take the first exit onto North Street, follow the street
along to the Cathedral and follow the road round to the
right, at the mini roundabout take the first exit, then
A917 to Crail, follow this road all the way out of town
and Fairmont St Andrews is 2 miles out of St Andrews.
