Welcome
Welcome to Red Hawk Elementary School’s first Silent Auction! All auction proceeds benefit the Red
Hawk Elementary PTO and help fund school and classroom needs such as library books, technology,
field trip scholarships, and reimbursement of teachers’ out-of-pocket expenses.
This event would not have been possible without the generosity of Red Hawk’s parents, faculty and
staff, and local community. Thank you all for your support. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the generous
Silent Auction donors and hardworking volunteers of the Red Hawk Elementary PTO.
We are pleased to present you with a wide variety of auction items courtesy of our very generous
donors. We ask that you take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the Silent Auction Guidelines
on the next page before you begin to make bids. This booklet contains a complete list of auction items,
including details of the auction closing times and item values.
We hope you will take this opportunity to bid generously and support improvements to our children’s
school and classrooms. The higher the bids go, the more Red Hawk Elementary School benefits.
Thanks for joining us, and have fun!
Sincerely,
Beth Wilson and the Silent Auction Committee

Silent Auction Rules
1. A bid number on the bid form is a promise to purchase an item. Please do not cross out or erase
bids once made. All sales are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds unless specified by the
donor.
2. Please observe the minimum bids and bid increase amounts noted on the bid sheets. No bid
starting below the minimum bid will be considered a legal bid. No bid increase below the minimum
increase will be considered a legal bid. Please fill out bid form completely.
3. You may bid on as many items as you wish, as often as you wish, up to the close of the auction.
Please be advised that if your bid is the highest at the close of the auction, you will be considered
the purchaser of the item.
4. Highest bids at closing time will be determined by the Silent Auction Committee. In the event of a
dispute, the Silent Auction Committee will have sole and final discretion in determining the winning
bidder.
5. Payment for items must be made by the close of the auction on February 25, 2012, at the cashier
table. Payment in the form of cash, check, Visa/Mastercard, or PayPal from your mobile device will
be accepted. Payments made by credit card and PayPal will include a 2.75% processing fee. No sales
tax is due on purchased items.
6. Values set on auction items are donor stated values and are not reviewed or confirmed by Red
Hawk Elementary PTO, Inc. for tax purposes or general value. If the amount paid for an item
exceeds its fair market value, the difference may constitute a charitable contribution; for a definitive
ruling you should consult your tax professional.
7. Please pay attention to all conditions, restrictions, and expiration dates on items and services.
8. All items are sold “as is”. Red Hawk Elementary PTO, Inc. neither warrants nor represents, and shall
in no event be held responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship,
province or condition of the property.
9. By his/her purchase, the buyer waives any claims for liability against Red Hawk Elementary PTO, Inc.,
the Silent Auction Committee, and the donor of the property or services. Red Hawk Elementary PTO,
Inc. is not responsible for any personal injury or damages that may result from the utilization of the
property or services sold.
10. The Silent Auction Committee reserves the right to withdraw an item from the auction at any time.
11. Only a Runner or official of the auction may remove items from the tables.
12. No person under the age of 18 years shall, at any time, place a bid.
