We will be pleased to help you make arrangements for your sports event planner to visit the hotel properties and sports
facilities you are interested in for your event site. We can suggest recreational activities and entertainment options based on
your needs for the sports group.
PUBLICITY
We will provide you with a media list for local publicity opportunities. We encourage you to provide them with a promotional
flyer or media kit at least one month in advance of your event. We can provide assistance by sending media releases to the
local media outlets. We can provide publicity on the website’s sports event calendar and social media outlets (i.e. Facebook,
Twitter).
WELCOME BAGS
We are happy to provide you with welcome bags for the participants. These bags will include a variety of brochures on
Snohomish County attractions and recreational activities, retail and restaurant coupons or discounts, and maps of the
community.
VOLUNTEERS
If you need volunteers, we will contact the local communities including service organizations and schools about volunteer
opportunities with a sports event.
LIAISON WITH CIVIC OFFICIALS
For the sports events with special needs, we will help you contact the appropriate local officials, including Cities within
Snohomish County, Snohomish County, and Port of Everett officials.
Snohomish County Attractions
Snohomish County supports existing sporting events. We are home to the Everett Aquasox,
Mariner’s Class-A affiliate minor league team, the Everett Silvertips, a Western Hockey league
team, and the North Sound SeaWolves FC, US Soccer Premier Development League (U23). Two
Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges make Snohomish County home. Several
other teams play in Snohomish County; Everett Red Raiders Football, Everett Merchants Baseball
Everett Reign Women’s Football, Jet City Rollergirls, Tilted Thunder Railbirds Roller Derby, and
Snohomish County Vikings Football. As a destination, Snohomish County is home to the Future
of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour, fine dining, shopping, and antique and specialty craft
shops. Snohomish County offers over a dozen historical museums well worth the visit. Victorian
homes, Native American artifacts, photographs and other memorabilia on the culture of the
