Stefano Giovannoni’s expressive designs skilfully play with the symbols and metaphors of
the sub-conscious and their narrative qualities
are fascinating. The brands Stefano
Giovannoni works with include Alessi, Flos,
Helit, Inda, Laufen, Magis, Nissan, Oras,
Seiko, Siemens, 3M and many others. Not
only does he design industrial products in the
fields of kitchen, bathroom, furniture, the
home, cars and electronics, he also designs
interiors and architecture. His work is part of
the permanent archive at the Georges
Pompidou Centre in Paris and at the collection
of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Stefano Giovannoni was born in 1954 in La
Spezia and studied architecture in Florence.
Today he lives and works in Studio
Giovannoni, a restored old factory area in
Milan city centre.
With ILBAGNOALESSI One he launched
one of the most remarkable bathroom designs of recent years on the market. The bathroom was the result of a partnership between
Alessi, LAUFEN Bathrooms and Oras. The
floorstanding basin TAM TAM is a visual
anchor and definitive element in the bathroom’s design and received the Design Plus
award. Its fluid, round shape marries a feminine style with a masculine requirement for
functionality. Alberto Alessi commented on
ILBAGNOALESSI One saying: «With its extremely innovative design that I would call meta
style, Stefano has done a superb job of creating objects with shapes familiar to all of us
and made them exciting and appealing at the
same time. I believe this is the direction design
will take this century.»

Where One's soft lines tone down the architectural lines and edges, the bathroom becomes a
place of privacy. Equal attention is paid to the
technical aspects as well as the shape. So all
WCs and bidets have specially developed wall
mounting systems for quick and easy fitting.
The shower tray is made of high-quality ceramics;
its form perfectly complements the world of
IlBAGNOALESSI One. The shower tray is available
as a quarter circle and a rectangle for a right or
left-hand corner.
The One bathtub is available with air and hydro
jets, hydro heating and underwater lighting. In a
freestanding, built-in or wall version.

The quirky, slightly eccentric shape of the basins surprises and stimulates the imagination without neglecting functionality. ILBAGNOALESSI
One proves that good design can be adaptable with a variety of washbasins. From small to countertop washbasins, the distinctive character
of the series stands out. All washbasins have a ceramic hidden overflow. The washbasin ceramics are finished with Laufen Clean Coat and
are therefore particularly easy to clean.

The WCs and bidets do not just look state-of-the-art, they are technically advanced. Because the floor is easy to clean, the wall-hanging
WCs and bidets are particularly hygienic and have a specially developed wall-fitting system that enables quick and easy installation. The WC
seat with lid keeps bacteria at bay. And thanks to the hydraulic automatic lowering system, the seat and lid close softly and quietly.
