HISTORY
1885: SILVIO DE PRETTO S.p.A.
Silvio De Pretto establishes a Foundry initially repairing looms but soon
after begins producing Hydraulic Turbines and Paper Machines .
1920: DE PRETTO-ESCHER WYSS S.p.A.
The company merges with Escher Wyss of Zurich and further consolidates
its production in the hydraulic turbine, paper machinery and thermal
turbomachinery fields.
1969: DE PRETTO-ESCHER WYSS S.r.l.
Escher Wyss merges with the Swiss Sulzer Group of Wintherthur, bringing
considerable technological development and research.
2001: MAN Turbomacchine De Pretto S.r.l.
GHH BORSIG acquires Sulzer Turbo creating a new group: MAN Turbo
2010: DE PRETTO INDUSTRIE S.r.l.
In July the holding SELINK, based in Velo d’Astico (VI, Italy) controlling
FOC Ciscato, has started the takeover of De Pretto Industrie S.r.l. The
acquisition has been completed in April 2012.

AREA OF BUSINESS
1. Turbomachinery Engineering & Manufacturing
Engineering and manufacturing of stator parts and turbomachinery casings. The scope of work
also includes the project management, the assembly and packaging of turbocompressors and
steam turbines.
2. Service
Services are mainly provided to customers in Italy. The Company has service level agreements
and maintenance for many customers in the energy sector, paper manufacturing and steel
manufacturing plants.
3. Special Projects
Special Projects manufactures components for various sectors like power generation, off shore
installations, mechanical applications and research sector (with a remarkable reference list). In all
this areas the Company is especially able to benefit from its strong capabilities in the field of
welding and precision machining acquired during its involvement in the engineering and
manufacturing of components in various fields applications, including i.e. hydraulic turbines,
gearboxes, wind energy appilcations, telescopes and vacuum vessels.
