The town’s historic character combined with exciting

in the First & Main district, and in the newly revitalized Evaporator Works a unique experience. Signature
events, such as Hudson Festival Days, Taste of Hudson,

Community Service Day
May 7
Hudson Community First—in partnership with the
Hudson Kiwanis and Friends of Hudson Parks—is
sponsoring a community-wide service day. We invite
local youth, Hudson families and other organizations,
teams and individuals to enjoy a day in Hudson’s
parks while helping to plant flowers and to remove
litter and invasive plants. Volunteers will team up at
Veterans Way, Hudson Springs and other local parks
to complete various community service projects. It’s
a great opportunity for students and organizations to
earn volunteer hours. Gloves, bags and educational
materials will be provided for all participants. To cap
off the day, the Friends of Hudson Parks will host a
cookout for volunteers at Veterans Way Park with
complimentary food, beverages and activities. Call

Memorial Day Parade

Community groups join the Hudson High School
Marching Band in a parade through downtown Hudson. The parade begins at 10am at the Acme Plaza

Hudson PTO Antique Show
August 6-7
50 dealers from nine states gather for a two-day
show at the Hudson High School. Sponsored by the
Hudson High School PTO, the show runs Saturday
9-5 and Sunday 10-4. There will be a wide range
of vintage furniture, collectibles, glass, silver and
more. Refreshments will be available for purchase,
and there is plenty of free parking. Admission is $8,
with discount coupons available on the Hudson PTO

Pack the Pond
August 8
Join Friends of Hudson Parks and Kent State University’s Crooked River Adventures for the fifth
anniversary of Pack the Pond! All are invited to this
family-friendly, end-of-summer event at Hudson
Springs Park. Don’t miss the “Pack the Pond Challenge” in which as many watercraft as possible
will be on the lake at the same time—a great photo
opportunity! Guests are welcome to bring their own
boats. Crooked River Adventures will have kayaks
and canoes available to try out for free, and will also
provide instruction in using a stand-up paddleboard.
Participants will be able to enjoy a cookout, educational programs, fly fishing demonstrations and many

This free, juried art show features over 140 artists
from around the country. Held rain or shine on the
southeast green, the show features oils, watercolors,

at Case Barlow Farm
Family friendly activities include a rope maze, wagon
train rides, crafts and demonstrations, hayrides and
pony rides, candle dipping, making butter and traditional games such as a scavenger hunt, bobbing for
apples, sack races, 3-legged race, cookie walk, and
horseshoes. There will be period music and Civil
War era interpreters will be in costume in the kitchen
