Welcome to D&H Cattle Company’s annual Bred to Buck Sale. This Sale is one of the most exciting days of the year for us. We strive everyday to make our program better, and we have been doing it for 30 years. It gets tougher every year to select the females for this sale. We are proud of our cowherd. These cow families are proven producers. Many of the females have full sisters in the herd or they wouldn’t be leaving. We are currently running as many cows as we can handle. The calves from our embryo transplant program, added to the number of females produced naturally, have given us a surplus of heifers each year that must be sold. This is why we can and must sell these great young females. The advantage to you as a buyer is the female you buy today has a good chance of being the dam or a sister to our next super star. We would like to thank the PBR. We know this business would not be what is today without them. The PBR and the ABBI have revolutionized the Bucking Bull Industry. We cannot thank them enough. It’s been good and the future looks brighter. As the industry grows the value of proven genetics will multiply. The great females will prove to be the dominant factor in producing Bucking Bulls. Now’s the time to be gathering up those superior females. They will be better than money in the bank! We are selling 69 head of top females. The pedigrees are getting deep and the quality is getting high. We are offering females we never dreamed we would sell. They are special! This is the first year for us to offer 21 head of unbucked yearling bulls. This is a great set of bulls. Study the pedigrees and checkout the bulls they are the deal! We also are offering seven breeding bulls. These are bulls, which we believe can be beneficial to any breeding program. This year we have elected not to sell any mature bucking bulls in the sale. We honestly have not had time to get them gathered, bucked, and sorted. If you are looking for a good using bull please contact us we have plenty for sale at private treaty. We are different than many stock contractors. We are involved in every phase of the business from breeding the cows, to traveling to PBR and PRCA events. We also try to plant wheat and bale some hay in our spare time. It takes a lot of good help to make this outfit function and without each one of these guys it wouldn’t happen; Johnny Allen, Jackie Hunter, Barry Burns, Cliff Wiggins, and K.J. Pletcher. Thanks Men! Come spend the weekend in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Watch the American Heritage Futurity on Saturday afternoon, view the sale cattle on Saturday afternoon at the Red River Livestock Auction, and attend the sale on Sunday. If you have any questions or need any assistance with your purchases please contact us.
