ADULTNAPPER BIO
Over three years, sequestered in his Brooklyn‐based matter:‐form studios,
former Las Vegas raised punk‐rocker turned DJ, Francis Harris, worked
determinedly to hone his electronic music production skills, crafting a
sound uniquely his own. This is no small task in a medium driven by
technology designed to help novices mimic the prevailing style of the
moment. What emerged is a sophisticated vision of electronic dancefloor
sonics characterized by elaborate swung micro‐rhythms, thick musical
baselines, complex arrangements, haunting tonal melodies and brooding
introspective atmospheres. It is a mature song‐based approach, so far
removed from the skippy rhythms and repetitive loops typical of the
Tech‐House tracks upon which he first made his name as a dj, that Harris
felt the need to re‐invent his image... and so born was Adultnapper.
Adultnapper is imagined as a shadow figure, an anti‐hero who is part
creative genius gone awry, part tortured dystopic philospher, part paranoid
vigilante outlaw. True to form, Adultnapper is armed with a manifesto, a
semi‐coherent rant of manic proportions banged out on a broken down old
typewriter.
With multiple worldwide releases to date on esteemed labels like Steve
Bug’s Audiomatique, Berlin‐based Dirt Crew, Mule Electronic from Tokyo and
Mr. C’s Superfreq out of London, the signature Adultnapper sound has
rapidly found favor amongst the world’s elite club djs. Equally well
regarded as a DJ himself, Adultnapper has headlined regularly at top
trendsetting night spots accross the globe from Circo Loco at DC10 in
Ibiza, to Weekend Club in Berlin, The End, Fabric and The Kubicle in
London, Avalon and King King in LA, Crystal in Istanbul, and Cielo, Shelter
and Element in NYC, to name just a few.
2007 will see the launch of Ransom Note, an artist‐driven boutique label
that weaves the sonic, visual and political aesthetics surrounding
Adultnapper into one tightly integrated concept, manifesto and all.

Adultnapper servs as USA resident for Mr. C’s global party brand, flying
the Superfreq flag with Made Events in NYC, at Avalon in LA, and at one
off events at North Americas’ top clubbing destinations such as Stereo in
Toronto and City Hall in Mexico City. Throughout the year he also appears
frequesntly as a featured guest at Superfreq events in London (The End),
Ibiza (DC10), and locales as far off as Venezuela.
SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR DEGENERATES

Adultnapper has acted as creative consultant to Made Events for three
years on this marathon all day party held annually on the final day of
Winter Music Conference. In it’s three year history, Sunday School has
become the one ‘can’t miss’ event for underground music at North America’s
largest Dance Music festival.
