Storm
charge
reminder:
Customers began paying a storm charge in May 2006. In March 2008, Cleco securitized the
funds used to pay for the Katrina/Rita storm damages and created a fund for future storm repair,
pair,
and the monthly cost to customers was reduced. The securitized bonds were issued by a Special
ial
Purpose Entity (SPE), Cleco Katrina/Rita Hurricane Recovery Funding LLC, a subsidiary of Clecoo
Power LLC. The SPE is the owner of the rights to the storm recovery charge while Cleco Powerr
LLC acts as the collection agent for the SPE. This surcharge is expected to continue through 2019.

Planting trees? Look up
The cause of most power outages are trees and tree limbs on power lines.
Planting trees too close to power lines can affect reliability and become a
safety hazard. Cleco’s Right Tree in the Right Place guide can help you plan
your landscape. Learn about appropriate species of trees and safe planting
distances. Pick up a guide at the Cleco customer service office nearest you,
download at cleco.com or call 1-800-622-6537 to have a copy mailed to your
home. Before you plant trees, put up fencing or perform other digging, be
sure to call Louisiana One Call at 811. This one call will ensure all appropriate
utilities are contacted. They will meet with you, mark any underground lines
and advise you about proper digging procedures.

customer experience. “Many people are using their mobile devices
and computers to conduct business and pay bills. We wanted our
customers to have that option, too. Our goal is to make it easier and
more convenient for our customers to conduct their Cleco business.”
