Mediterranean Flavour - Maiori’s 2015 colour palette celebrates the feel
and flavours of the Mediterranean to which we are so connected. From spicy
saffron and marsala tones to deeper shades of charcoal or dusky blue and
mouth-watering vivid shades of green and orange, the colours express an
earthy, minimalist and nomadic character.
The use of hand-woven parts in aluminium structures, the Commissioned
Teak table tops, selected on site amongst the cream cuts of certified selective
loggers, the revisited classics, or the autonomous solar lighting; all built upon
the blend of traditional craftwork and forward-thinking engineering that so
characterises the brand.

A600 by Christophe Pillet - The petite, forgiving looks of Christophe Pillet’s
A600 Series for Maiori is an account of design best practises and a dialogue
of contrasts. Built in Aluminium 6061, a high-performance stock celebrated
for its use in of aerospace industry, and fitted with panels shaped like pads,
it provokes a warm response. The oven-cured powder paint used throughout
provides a soft, tactile feel, plus a matt sandy texture that is urban and
unfussy.
Christophe Pillet has won international acclaim for the spectrum and quality
of his creations. His considered interpretations are a testament to highvoltage chic, distinguished both by its precision and rigour.

AT800 Series by Normal Studio
AT800 by Normal Studio - Originally conceived as an updated version of the
classic teak folding chair, the AT800 series by Normal Studio is a statement in
the kind of simplicity that comes only after meticulous design consideration. The
use of stamped aluminium for the seating instead of teak, speaks volumes of
functional design, a blend of nostalgia aesthetics and industrial production that is
hard to come by. The perforated sheet metal tabletop lets rain and light through,
reducing the table’s weight and creating a minimum of shadow underneath. In
fact the table has more void than matter.
Normal Studio’s design élémentaire strive to match aesthetics and technique. For
them, each object contains an elementary equation that has to be solved at the
minimum of handling, material and machine investment. It is the coming together
of method, tools and competence that builds their projects.
