Introduction
We are pleased with your interest in our hardwood chests. The North American woodlands offer many
rich details in the wood grain. When we finish our products, we preserve the distinctive character of
the wood. This beauty is natural; no synthetics or engineering. Each of our chests has its own individual
grain which is beauty that goes deeper than the surface. Each design is enduring and the quality
construction invites you to enjoy using our chests year after year. Our solid hardwood furniture is sure
to please the user today and the next generation as an heirloom.
Care for your new chest is very simple. Solid hardwood resists marring and scratching. If it does get
damaged in severe use, it can be repaired because it is solid wood throughout. The protected natural
fibers in the hardwood may swell or shrink slightly from season to season. Extremely dry conditions will
cause the grain to open, or if used in a damp environment, you may notice a swelling or warping. Direct
exposure to sunlight over a long period of time may change the color of the wood. Exercise care to
avoid these extremes in humidity, dryness or brilliant sunlight, and your chest will remain beautiful for
many years and be useful in preserving your treasures.
