WARRANTY INFORMATION
CORE POLICY
Remanufactured Transmission and
Differentials
Remanufactured Steering
Components
Mascot Truck Parts warrants to all customers for a period of twelve
(12) full months, unlimited mileage, that Mascot rebuilt transmissions
and differentials will be free of defects in material and workmanship.
The twelve-month period begins on the date of sale to the final end
user/owner.
Mascot Truck Parts warrants to all customers for a period of twelve
(12) full months, unlimited mileage, that Mascot Truck Parts rebuilt
steering gears and pumps will be free of defects in material and workmanship. The twelve-month period begins on the date of sale to the
final end user/owner.
Remanufactured units used at anytime for off-road applications will
be covered by a three (3) month warranty. This includes dump trucks
and tractors pulling dump trailer and other unlicensed “Pit Truck”
applications etc.
Conditions:
Exclusions: Warranty will only cover complete units and not partial
components i.e. Fuller auxiliary section of complete transmission or
power divider assemblies, which are part of the complete forward differential of a tandem, are not covered by warranty.
Warranty does not cover oil seal failures. All transmissions and differentials are supplied with new oil seals. Defective seals must be reported before yoke is installed. Speedy or “Redi” sleeves can cause
damage to oil seals. Improper yoke installation can cause damage to
oil seals.
This warranty will not apply if the failure is the result of operator
negligence, misuse, neglect, accident, improper installation or disassembly. Further the product will not be eligible for warranty if there
is evidence of excessive heat, improper, fluid in system, and/or contamination in the system.
Products claimed to be warrantable must be returned prepaid and
intact to Mascot Truck Parts within 30 days after the questionable
defect is first discovered. Mascot will inspect the product and make
the final determination as to whether the product tis covered under
the Mascot Truck Parts warranty.
Warranty does not cover failure due to: (1) lack of lubrication, (2)
excessive heat, (3) improper installation, (4) shocks and spin-out, (5)
driver error, (6) towing, (7) P.T.O. improperly installed, (8) oil seal
failures.
When a warranty claim is allowed, Mascot Truck Parts responsibility
is limited to repair and replace the defective item. In no event will
Mascot Truck Parts be liable for incidental or consequential damages
including but not limited to costs incurred for service calls, towing,
downtime.
Warranty does not cover downtime — towing — unauthorized
repairs.
This warranty is in lieu of and excludes all other warranties, expressed
or implied.
Airlines, valves, shift covers, two speed motors, lockout assemblies,
front and rear retainers etc., vary and may be supplied when available.
We cannot assume responsibility if cosmetics are incorrect. It is good
practice to try an axle shaft, yokes, etc. The warranty is to protect
against defects in workmanship not installation errors.
NOTE: UNITS ARE SUPPLIED DRY. FILL WITH LUBRICANT AS SPECIFIED BY VEHICLE MANUFACTURER. NEVER DISMANTLE OR ALTER
A UNIT THAT IS SUSPECT OF A WARRANTY ADJUSTMENT. THIS ACTION, WITHOUT WRITTEN APPROVAL, VOIDS ALL WARRANTIES.
When installing any new or rebuilt unit, speedometer drive and driven
gears and all spacers must be installed before yokes are fitted and
nuts are torqued. These items are sometimes returned to Mascot on
the core and damage to rebuilt replacement has already been extensive. Failure to install these items voids all warranties.
WARRANTY RETURN Units returned for warranty must include: company name, invoice number, date of purchase, and a detailed description of the problem. Warranty claims must be returned prepaid freight
and intact. An adjustment of freight may be made after inspection of
claim.
The warranty will not extend beyond the original expiry date and is
not transferable from the intended first user. This is the only warranty
granted by Mascot Truck Parts, any further allowances made or given
are not binding on Mascot Truck Parts.
