PLAY AND LEARN CATALOG 2015 CERTIFIED COACH PROGRAM U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coaches are recognized as experts in teaching golf to kids, age 12 and younger. The Certified Coach program is for professionals who seek to improve their knowledge in all aspects of youth golf that can be utilized to enhance a current program or provide the basis for establishing a new program. Certification helps coaches increase their market visibility and professional value. Advantages of Becoming Certified U.S. Kids Golf holds a unique position in the golf industry as one of the only companies to focus solely on youth golf. With two decades of experience building and designing the best performing clubs for kids and conducting the largest youth golf tournament program in the world, U.S. Kids Golf has collected the knowledge and data to sustainably grow the game at the youth level. Through the sharing of this information, U.S. Kids Golf can help professionals improve their youth programs and increase their marketability and value. Positive Coaching Alliance Positive Coaching Alliance is a national non-profit with the mission to provide all youth and high school athletes a positive, character-building youth sports experience. The U.S. Kids Golf Foundation has partnered with the Positive Coaching Alliance in order to help make caddying a memorable and rewarding family experience, and completion of the PCA Double-Goal Coach online test is required to become a Certified Coach. Model Hole FAMILY COURSE The Family Course adds two levels of tees to each hole well in front of the existing tees. The forwardmost tees on the majority of golf courses are approximately 2,500 yards for nine holes, which is too long for young players and adult beginners. By adding two sets of tee locations, every person can enjoy their round by playing from the appropriate yardage, based on skill level. Teeing grounds are marked by placing Family Tee plates on level locations in the fairway. In addition, a locator plate is used to indicate where to find the Family Tee marker in the fairway.
