RINK IMPROVEMENTS
Freezing in the Arena? We are too :(
Our Board has contacted City of Mississauga staff
to request rink improvements, and to push for a
new arena. As 4 Rinks was obtained as a private
purchase it was never designed for public use.
The City doesn't currently have capital funds for a
massive rebuild, but they will soon provide some
accessibility and safety improvements. City staff
will also start the discussions to begin the
planning/design/budget process for a new
building! It will take several years, but it's coming

ICE PUPPY UPDATE
Our littlest Meadowvale players are up and skating! It's been a record year for the
Ice Puppys with a total of 205 players on 14 teams including 36 girls registered!
All Ice Puppy teams are invited to attend Pancake Breakfast after practice on
Saturday, Feb 6th. A special visitor from the Brampton Beast is expected to attend
both the breakfast and a future Ice Puppy practice.
The Ice Puppy Charity Game is on March 5th, and All Star Weekend is on March 6th.
Invite grandparents, family and friends to see your superstar on the ice. It will be lots of fun!

goalie clinics, and 5 Ice Puppys also
came out to the Goalie Clinics because
they loved playing goalie when it was
their turn and they wanted to learn
more! Thanks to Tracy Graham,

Imagine going from a rep hockey player to being almost
paralyzed by a rare disease, undergoing 4 leg surgeries, and having
the guts to return battered and bruised to play hockey! We are
moved by the adversity and triumphs of our newest friend and
inspiration, 9 year old Hunter Barnhart.
Meadowvale Hockey is very proud of Atom Red ME051 Captain
David Boddy, whose empathy has meant so much to Hunter's

Minor Bantam Red Team ME 081
REPEATS! Another consecutive Gold in
the Neil Barker Tournament Jan 15-17th,
2016. This competitive red tournament
had 2 undefeated teams in the finals - us
and Oakville. We won 3 to 1! A great
weekend for everyone! Tony Leung and
his coaching team are very proud of their
players who have created a fantastic
team culture of hard work, respect and
friendships that will last after forever.

Meadowvale Mohawks have won
their 3rd tournament for this
season!
3rd time is a charm!
Undefeated throughout the tournament,
they won in the North York Knights
Challenge 2016, in the final game against
the Duffield Devils by a score of 6-1.
