Norwegian Blades
Each laminated blade features 3 layers of bonded steel; the two outer layers are softer for added
strength and toughness while the center layer is very hard (59 on the Rockwell “C” scale) for extra
long edge holding ability. While the Patchcutter and Mini Patchcutter models are not laminated due
to their small size, they’re made under the same rigid standards from high carbon stainless and are
extremely durable. The 4-3/4” Pawnee blade, made from a heavier stainless gauge, features a mirror
finish and makes a superior hunting knife.

Spanish Brown-Oil Cloth
In early America, paint was used to waterproof material for tarps, shelters
and outdoor gear. “Spanish Brown” was the most popular color, referring
to the terra cotta shades derived from mixing iron oxide in linseed oil. Our
reproduction Oil Cloth, made exclusively for 1700s to early 1800s reenactors, is 60” wide 100% cotton canvas in a 10 oz. weight, which means that
it is easily hand or machine stitched. Unlike linseed oil based treatments,
ours is not sticky and won’t degrade material. And, like any water repellant canvas, we recommend an additional yearly treatment (instructions
included) including seams where 2 pieces are joined. Use it for Diamond
Shelters, tents, ground cloths, bedroll tarps, haversacks, rain slickers or
ponchos, and dozens of other period-correct items to provide serious protection. Produced exclusively for Crazy Crow!

Sweetgrass Braids
Sweetgrass has many ceremonial uses among most Indian tribes and is often used in conjunction with sage. Its
smoke is used for prayer, cleansing and as a healing agent.
Sage is first burned to drive away any negative forces, then
sweetgrass is burned to summon positive ones. It is frequently used
in Sweat Lodge ceremonies, tied to traditional bustles and used as a sachet
for clothing. Sometimes known as Marsh Hay, and in Lakota it is called Sink'pe tawota.

Smudge Sticks
“Smudging” is the practice of burning the leaves of plants during prayers and ceremonies, the smoke of
which becomes incense, and these nice large bundles create a wonderful aroma for use in purification
and restoring balance to mind, body and place. Native Americans have long used plants such as these
for their healing properties and as aids in spiritual ways. We are offering these popular Smudge Sticks at a
savings of 10%, so stock up while they're available! We also offer a variety of books in the Medicine & Herblore section of our catalog for resources giving complete information on each plant. Please note that Crazy
Crow cannot vouch for the medicinal effects of these various products. As for their spiritual properties, we
can only quote an old Comanche friend who said, “If you believe in these things, they will work for you.”
