Hollytree, Carolina Springs, Pebble Creek, Willow Creek, Furman & Hejaz are all courses that we presently reciprocate with. If we have an event going that we cannot offer the golf course to you, then we will call and set up a tee time at one of the reciprocal courses. Reminder, please let us make the call for tee times at these courses. Thank You The closet doors are in and we have just the trim work and window treatments to go. It looks like it will be complete sometime this month. I would like to give a personal thank you to all who were involved especially the Ladies association, the Board of Directors and all who donated to the 50/50 raffles to get this project done. I have gotten numerous comments on how great it looks and that it is money well spent. Upcoming Events May nd 2 Men’s Match Play 8th Night Light 11th Tri County Seniors 16th Pig Pickin 21st Ladies Member Guest 22nd Couples 22nd Bridgestone Ball Fitting 26th Senior Member/Member – Member/Guest 30th & 31st Patton Classic Greetings from the Grounds Greetings from the Grounds: May is here and hopefully the nice weather is here as well, last month brought a lot of rain and cool weather to the course. The golf course needs these warmer temps we are presently experiencing to flourish and become healthy. On May 4th we applied the final round of preemergent herbicide along with a healthy dose of fertilizer that will carry us through the summer. Thanks to the support of the Board of Directors, The grounds department has recently added some new equipment which include a Toro 300 gallon sprayer which enables us to more efficiently spray the fairways and rough. This machine sprays 5 Acres at a time rather than the 2 acres our older and much smaller sprayer did. We also added a Toro 1250 sprayer for greens and Tees. We also were forced to purchase an out front rotary mower. The machine we were using was 21 years old and on its last leg broke, so we had to put her to sleep. Hopefully everyone has noticed the short green stakes with white caps in worn out locations, these stakes are to certain areas some much needed rest. Please refrain from driving in these areas as cart traffic is the reason for the worn out areas. We will be adding more as the summers approaches, these stakes will be moved where they are used to direct traffic. As golf increases it paramount that we obey cart signs and ropes to keep wear to minimum, this includes #4 until the ropes are down and otherwise noted. We are also trying a different approach to green banks as we have started using a fairway mower to lower the height of cut in this area, giving more shot options. Thank you for all your support it has been tremendously helpful. Hope to see you on the course.
