Packard Electric's suggestion campaign has moved into
its second month after a total of 480 employes submitted
suggestions during the month of October. Every employe
who turned in an eligible idea during the month received a
handy three-foot, steel-tape key chain. In addition, four
handsome, nine-transistor radios were won by employes at
special drawings held weekly during the month. All employes who submitted suggestions were eligible for the
drawings as soon as their
ideas were received.

"The higher level of business
during the first nine months of
this year reflected an increase in
total sales of automotive products
in all areas of the world where
General Motors operates," Messrs.
Donner and Gordon said.
Sales of General Motors products in the first nine months of _ 1960 totaled $9,310 million or
five per cent above the corres-
ponding period of 1959.
During the same period of 1960,
sales of cars and trucks produced
in General Motors plants throughout the world totaled 3,406,000
units, or 10 per cent more than in
the corresponding period of 1959.
