It’s not just a job.
It’s a career.
Grifols is a global healthcare company that produces and markets life-saving plasma medicines, hospital products
and diagnostic tools in more than 90 countries around the world.
For 70 years, Grifols has pioneered many of the methods used to collect human plasma and transform it into
plasma medicines for people who have rare, life-threatening diseases, such as immune deficiencies, hemophilia
and genetic emphysema.
From its humble beginnings, Grifols has evolved into the third largest global producer of plasma-derived medicines
with the world’s largest network of plasma collection centers operating as Biomat USA, PlasmaCare and Talecris
Plasma Resources. There are approximately 150 donor centers across the country dedicated to, and motivated by,
our mission of taking pride in the thousands of people donating plasma every week and the passion we have for
the patients who depend on our plasma-derived medicines.
And while all that may sound impressive, there are two
simple things that make Grifols a unique place to work and
build your career:
• Our products make a difference in sustaining people’s
lives and improving the health and well-being of people
around the world. Grifols’ medicines are used for the
treatment of life-threatening diseases, including hemophilia,
genetic emphysema, primary immune deficiency, traumatic
shock, hemorrhage, or burns.
• We pride ourselves on our “small company” and
“family-like” culture. The Grifols family has significantly
influenced the field of plasma p rocurement and therapy.
More than that, however, they have extended a sense of
welcoming and inclusion to all employees who make this a
special place to work.
Grifols is committed to employee development and
education through the Grifols Academy of Plasmapheresis
in Barcelona, Spain, Glendale, AZ, Indianapolis, IN, and other
satellite locations. Certain leadership development training
programs may even count for college credit.
At Grifols, being a leader in our industry is just the
first step. We are a growing company, which means more
opportunities for individual career advancement. We pride
ourselves on promoting from within whenever possible and
our recently launched career progression program gives new
hires at our centers a clear line of sight to reach their career
and self-development goals.
The Hiring Process, Background Checks & Drug Screens
Holiday & Paid Time Off Benefits
The hiring process at Grifols is thorough. In addition to interviews with donor center leadership,
we conduct background checks and drug screenings after a conditional employment offer has
been extended. Please note that most centers’ regular operating hours of business are 8:00 AM
- 6:00 PM Monday – Friday, although a number of centers operate on Saturdays and Sundays
as well. Flexibility for overtime (i.e. working after 6 PM) and weekend work is often required,
so please check with your interviewer for more information. If hired, you must complete an I-9
form and bring documents to prove your legal right to work in the United States on your first day.
For full-time and benefit-eligible employees, Grifols
recognizes the following paid holidays annually, which
may vary depending on the calendar year. However, these
designated holidays do not indicate that a donor center will
necessarily be closed. Your donor center management team
will notify employees regarding closure for holiday observance and alternative days and schedules, as necessary.
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Holiday (2)
- Christmas Holiday (2)
Starting Salaries, Performance Reviews & Career Progression
Grifols offers competitive salaries and benefits. Initial salary offers are typically based on
pre-established salary ranges and internal equity. Salaries are typically determined at the final
round of interviews and shared with you at the time of offer.
All Grifols employees are hired “at will,” meaning that employment may be terminated by you
or the company at any time, with or without cause or notice. In addition, your first 90 days with
our organization will be considered an “introductory” or “training” period. Interim performance
evaluations may occur at the conclusion of your introductory period, and while there is no
financial increase at the conclusion of your introductory period, additional ways of increasing
your base salary at any time throughout the year include certification pay, cross-training
pay, additional duty pay, career progression advancement (Level 1, Level 2, Lead), and
promotion. Annual performance reviews normally occur for all employees in December of
each year.
