Funding Your Education • • Undergraduate Tuition Assembly Bill 540 University Tuition and Fees CALCULATING UNDERGRADUATE RESIDENT TUITION FEES (FALL 2013) California Resident Only: Undergraduate Tuition Fee Additional Campus Fees (Including Associated Student Body, Health Center, Student ID Card, etc.) Fall 2013 Registration & Tuition Fees Part Time Full Time 1-6 Units 7 or More Units $1,587 $2,736 $357 $357 $1,944 $3,093 CALCULATING UNDERGRADUATE NON-RESIDENT TUITION FEES (FALL 2013) • Non-resident students must add $372.00 to their basic registration and tuition fees for each unit of credit they take Total Basic Registration Fees from the Resident Table (Full time student) $ 3,093 Multiply the number of units the student will take by $372 (i.e. 10 units) + $ 3,720 Total Fee Payment Due $ 6,813 = ASSEMBLY BILL 540 (AB 540) • Students who are not a resident of the United States or the state of California, may qualify for instate tuition if they meet the following criteria: • • • • • Attended 3 years at a California high school Graduated from a California high school or earned a GED in the state File an affidavit with the college certifying to file to legalize immigration status, if student does not have lawful immigration status If you believe your student qualifies for AB 540, have them complete and return the affidavit form to the office of Admissions & Records. Notices sent via campus email & Student Center, this should include estimated award offers for incoming freshmen and new transfer students. • If SELECTED for verification, student will submit additional documents for Fin. Aid Office to review • If NOT SELECTED for verification, student will be notified via campus email of financial aid award shortly. • Students who are SELECTED for verification must submit all requested documents before processing can continue. Check your To Do list for the document due dates. • Fin. Aid Office will review documentation, determine eligibility, and finalize financial aid award. Student will be notified via campus email. • In late August, the first disbursement of funds begin the week prior to the start of fall semester. Payments via web are due by 11:30 pm on the given due date. In-person and mail-in payments are due by 5:00 pm on the given due date. Students who register for classes on August 24 or after must pay immediately (on the same day) or may be subject to disenrollment without notice . ONLINE PAYMENT OPTIONS VIA TITAN ONLINE STUDENT CENTER Payment Options Notes Credit Cards A 2.9% non-refundable credit card processing fee is charged on all online transactions. VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are all accepted online. (available only on the Web) ATM/Debit Cards on the Web (with MasterCard or VISA credit symbol only ) Personal Checks on the Web (E-Check) ATM/Debit cards will be processed as credit cards transactions. A 2.9% non refundable credit card processing fee will be charged. No convenience fee will be charged. Will be subtracted from checking account within 1-2 days. ATM/Debit Cards ATM/Debit Card with PIN is available to use in person only at Student Financial Services - University Hall 180. ATM/Debit Card have a daily limit which may vary depending on the issuing bank. Cash Must be paid in person during office hours at Student Financial Services only - University Hall 180. Available 24 hours. This hold is placed • • Once you have submitted all the required documentation to the Office of Financial Aid, there are no longer documents on their To Do List, and their file is considered ready for review.
