Please Note: Your new Kelty Jogging Stroller comes collapsed /
folded for ease of shipping. It must be set up and adjusted prior
to use.
Unpacking:
Remove the stroller frame and wheels from the carton. The carton for your Kelty
Stroller contains the following:

TIPS
1. FRONT WHEEL ATTACHMENT
A. Make sure the front wheel quick-release mechanism is
in the “OPEN” position (Figure 1A).
NOTE:
The front wheel
axle may need to
be tightened onto
the fork.
To tighten, place
front wheel in the
fork and twist the
end cap clockwise.
The end cap is
opposite the
quick-release
lever.
B. The front brake, on the Deluxe and Deuce stroller
frame, also has a quick-release mechanism. Make
sure the quick-release lever on the front brake is in
the open position (Figure 1B).
C. Insert the front wheel axle into the fork ends
(Figure 1C).
D. Secure the wheel in the fork by moving the quickrelease lever into the “CLOSE” position (Figure 1D).
E. Check to make sure the front wheel is securely
attached to the fork by pulling on the wheel, trying to
remove the wheel from the fork ends (see note).

F. Return front brake to the closed position by
pinching the brake calipers closed and moving
the brake pads toward the rim (Figure 1E).
With your other hand, close the quick-release
lever on the brake (Figure 1F).
G. To remove the front wheel, reverse steps 1A–1F.

3. REAR WHEEL ATTACHMENT
The rear wheels are designed for a quick-release
mechanism.
A. Depress the quick-release button on the axle
housing to allow insertion of the wheel axle
(Figure 3A).
B. While depressing the quick-release button, insert
the rear wheel axle into the axle housing
(Figure 3B) all the way, until the wheel hub
touches the axle housing.
C. Release the quick-release button.
D. Check that the rear wheel axle is locked in
place by pulling on the wheel, trying to remove
the wheel from the axle housing. The rear wheel
should be locked into the axle sleeve.
E. If the rear wheel is not locked in place, repeat
steps 3A-3D.
The brake pads should be centered on the rim and
approximately 1/8” away from the rim. You can adjust
the brake by rotating the cable adjustment barrel.
F. Repeat steps 3A-3D for the other rear wheel.
NOTE: To remove the rear wheel, depress the
quick-release button and pull the wheel out
of the axle housing.
A. Turn cable adjustment barrel clockwise to move
the brake pads away from the rim (Figure 2A).
B. Turn cable adjustment barrel counterclockwise to
move brake pads closer to the rim (Figure 2B).
C. Depress the brake lever several times to check
brake function. Recheck brake pad location and
re-adjust if necessary.

A. Grasp the stroller handle and lift it up and
away from the stroller base (away from the
front fender) (Figure 4A).

C. Push down on the frame brace on both sides
of the stroller (Figure 4D), then slide the
yellow brace sleeve to the “LOCKED” position
(Figure 4E).

The Speedster
Deluxe and
Speedster Deuce
strollers are
equipped with
a cable/pulley
folding mechanism
–– this mechanism
assists with the
folding and
unfolding of your
stroller. On the
Deluxe and Deuce
models, the rear
wheels and frame
will automatically
move when the
handle is moved,
during folding and
unfolding.
If you own the
Speedster model,
the rear wheels and
frame do not move
automatically. You
will have to move
the rear wheels and
frame by hand to
fold and unfold the
stroller.

D. After the frame is unfolded, rotate the yellow handle latch clockwise to lock
the handle in place (Figure 4F and 4G).
E. Check that the handle is locked in place by lifting up on the handle. Make
sure both sides of the stroller handle are locked.
F. If the handle is not locked in place, repeat steps 4A-4E.

5. HANDLE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT (DELUXE & DEUCE ONLY)
The Kelty KIDS Speedster Deluxe and Deuce models are equipped with an
adjustable-height handle. The handle height can be adjusted from 34 to 45 inches.
A. Depress both the handle-release buttons on the black plastic adjustment
mechanism (Figure 5A).
B. While pushing the buttons, rotate the handle to raise or lower the handle to
the desired height (Figure 5B). Release the buttons to lock the handle in
place.
C. Check that the handle is locked in place by lifting up on the handle. Make
sure both sides of the stroller handle are locked.
D. If the handle is not locked in place, repeat steps 5A-5C.

6. CHILD SEAT ADJUSTMENT
Before loading your child into the stroller, make sure
the child’s shoulder harness is unbuckled and the leg
straps are fully loosened.
NOTE: Lock the parking brakes on the rear wheels of
the stroller (see page 13).
A. Unclip the yellow shoulder harness buckles on the
5-point harness (Figure 6A).
B. Loosen the gray webbing leg straps (Figure 6B).
C. Place child in stroller seat.
D. Position the harness crotch strap between child’s
legs (Figure 6C).
E. Place the child’s shoulder harness over the child’s
shoulders (Figure 6D).

For the safety of
your child, make
sure all buckles
are securely

F. Attach the yellow shoulder harness buckles to the
harness crotch strap (Figure 6E).
G. The child’s shoulder harness can be adjusted up
or down by sliding it on the webbing at the back
of the child’s seat (Figure 6F). Adjust the harness
so the padded section lies smoothly over the
child’s shoulders.
Avoid runways,

H. Adjust the gray webbing leg straps (Figure 6G)
so they fit comfortably over the child’s legs by
tightening or loosening the leg straps, at the back
of the child’s seat. Make sure the leg straps are not
binding or pinching the child’s legs.

7. HAND BRAKE OPERATION
(DELUXE & DEUCE ONLY)
Your Kelty stroller comes with a hand brake lever. It
works like a standard “bicycle style” hand brake
while walking or jogging.
To slow stroller while walking or jogging:
You can adjust the
brake by rotating
the cable adjustment
barrel.
A. Gently squeeze the brake lever toward the
stroller handle (Figure 7A).
8. PARKING BRAKE OPERATION
Your Kelty stroller is equipped with parking brakes on each rear wheel of the
stroller.
To lock the parking brakes:
A. Standing behind the stroller, grasp the stroller handle with both hands.
B. With your foot, gently push down on top of the parking brake lever
(Figure 8A).
C. Rock the stroller back and forth to make sure the lever is fully engaged to
the wheel.
B. Release the brake lever when you are comfortable with the stroller speed.
D. Repeat steps 8B & 8C on the other wheel of the stroller.

A. Remove child and cargo from stroller.
The Kelty KIDS Speedster Deluxe and Deuce models
are equipped with reclining seats.
To recline the stroller seat:
A. Lock the parking brakes on the rear wheels of
the stroller (See NOTE).
B. Loosen the seat adjustment webbing by rotating
the plastic ladder lock buckles (Figure 9A and
9B) outward and towards the front of the
stroller. This action reclines the seat back.
C. Loosen both sides of the seat equally, to the
desired position.

To raise the seat:
D. Lock the parking brakes on the rear wheels of
the stroller (See NOTE).
E. Grasp the stroller handle with one hand.
F. Tighten the seat adjustment webbing by pulling
downward, away from the stroller (Figure 9C
and 9D). This action raises the seat back.
G. Tighten both sides of the seat equally, to the
desired position.

C. Rotate the Sun/Rain Hood towards the stroller
handle (Figure 10A).
D. Rotate the yellow handle latch counterclockwise
(Figure 10B) to unlock the handle. Unlock both
sides of the stroller handle.
E. Unlock the side-brace by sliding the yellow brace
sleeve to the “UNLOCKED” position (Figure 10C).
F. Lift up on the frame brace on both sides of the
stroller (Figure 10D).
G. Stand at the back of the stroller and grasp the
handle firmly. Rotate the handle towards the front
wheel and fender (Figure 10E).
H. Continue rotating the handle, closing the stroller to
the folded position (Figure 10F).

KELTY’S LIFETIME WARRANTY
Kelty takes pride in its workmanship and undertakes to manufacture the best possible
products. Kelty products are covered under warranty, to the original owner, for the lifetime of
the product, against defects in materials or workmanship.
Since no Kelty product is indestructible, Kelty’s warranty does not cover defects attributable to
or resulting from normal wear and tear (ie: exhausted zippers), natural hazard damage (ie:
weather, animals, ultraviolet [UV] damage on tents), abuse or alteration.
All products being returned require a Return Authorization number. Service under our
warranty is available to the original purchaser by returning the product to any authorized Kelty
dealer or by contacting our customer service department at 1-866-349-7225
(1-866-FIX-PACK) for a Return Authorization number.
All products returned for warranty and repair must be properly cleaned. Items deemed
insufficiently clean will be returned to the customer unrepaired.
We strongly recommend that you obtain a tracking number when sending your item to Kelty!
We do not take responsibility for items not received or tracked to our location. Please be sure
to insure any shipment, as Kelty cannot be responsible for uninsured packages. Shipping and
insurance charges to send products to the Warranty Department are the customer’s responsibility. Kelty will absorb the return shipping charges. If you request that we return your product
by UPS Overnight or 2nd Day Air, the additional shipping charges will be billed to you.
Shipping charges for all non-warranty repairs are at the owner's expense. For products sent
to the Warranty Department from outside the United States, inbound and outbound freight and
any insurance charges are the customer’s responsibility.
If, after inspection, we determine that the product is defective, we will repair or replace it at
our discretion, free of charge. If your Kelty product needs service or repair that is not covered
under warranty, we will provide the necessary service at a reasonable charge.
This warranty gives you, the original purchaser, specific legal rights. You may also have other
rights, which vary from state to state.
